Kid with a golden arm, lightning fast release, and charisma for days, not athletic, but, moves effortlessly within the pockets confines with exceptional footwork and anticipation, gets ridiculous velocity on the football, as in does not have a deep ball, just think of his deep passes as real deep slants, supremely confident in his arm and dares corners and safeties to creep on him, usually leaving them breathless in their futile attempts..Hall of fame ceiling..
I wonder how he turned out.dolfan7171 likes this. -

Dr. Z/Paul Zimmerman always happily referred back to his comments here as evidence of how everyone makes mistakes. There was an undercurrent of a rather large falling out between himself and Don Shula (mostly On Don Shula's side), and all those years he had previously covering the Jets were bound to have an effect. Miss his writing immensely, sadly due to some debilitating strokes he experienced as most will know. He always watched game film before giving an opinion on somebody, something that became very rare in the modern age (and something that we're lucky to get from the top contributors to this site). That doesn't mean he didn't make mistakes (as the above video shows) but at least he had formed a proper opinion, rather than recycling the views of others (as the majority of those writing sadly do).
Also good to see Howard Balzer pop up. Probably one of the most underrated NFL reporters of the modern era. He even used to contribute to a little magazine sold in the UK in the 80s that gave a few of us daft Brits a full draft preview and review, at a time when the populace here thought "American Football" was that thing with the refrigerator and people putting on a suit of armor to play rugby. -
Wow, haven't thought of Vigoritto in years. And hearing Overstreets name reminded me of the series of deaths that they had, I think 3 years in a row. One was a lb that had a heart attack while running, Overstreet drove into the gas station and died, and while I remember that there were 3 deaths the third escapes me. Oh well, lots of memories.

What was telling last night was Jim Kelly.....
He was honest last night saying how he didnt want to go to the Bills and he was pissed when they picked him.....
Funny because they had audio of him right after he was drafted saying the company line "I am proud to be a Bill" yada yada yada....
and then it came back modern day with Kelly sitting there and he was like "That was one big lie" -
