I heard Scarlett Johannson is leaving her husband for me. We'll be in the front row at the playoff game in Miami in two weeks.

Sorry, dude we don't have a prayer. 8-8 teams don't deserve to go anyway. Plus we'll be 7-9.

Mathematically yes, we can....but need lots and lots of help. Horrible to be in this situation.

We beat Pit, Jax loses, Bal loses, Hou loses are the key games

You are wrong! We do have a prayer! its all about Math and not emotion or guess work

So we need Cleveland and Oakland to win. Yes!

Looks to me that Houston needs to lose versus New England, Baltimore needs to lose versus Oakland, and Jacksonville needs to lose versus Cleveland... and then we need to beat Pittsburgh.

We need a lot of help from what I can see.

Basically you need the Jags to lose next week, Jets to lose 1 of their last 2, Ravens to lose next week, and Texans to lose next week, and the Dolphins to win. AKA- Not. Happening. You'll probably get the Jets to lose and the Texans to lose, but not the others. maybe 1.

Would that really get us in? I'm amazed there's even a possible scenario. New England will win but there's no way those other games go our way. And I doubt we can beat Pittsburgh to be perfectly honest. I'll be cheering but I'm not feeling it anymore for this season.

I will say this, I am less concerned with what HELP we need....heck, each week we got exactly what we needed....all except for one thing.....Maimi to WIN.

Lets start there.....beat PIT somehow, someway and finish 8-8 (yuck!).

For sure, we beat the Bills, Colts, Saints, Titans, or Texans, even just one of them, and somehow we'd be sitting pretty right now. Hasn't gone our way this year.

And that's why it doesn't make a bit of difference wether we get in the playoffs or not. The more we lose the better off we are at this point. Sucks to say it I know but it's the truth.

i wouldn't put it past beeelichick to throw the game to let houston in the playoffs before us.. since in all likelihood they'll be the #4 seed anyway.
still possible, but this season is over more or less.
not a bad run for losing:
    Starting and 3rd string RB
    Starting QB
    Both Starting CBs
    Starting NT
    Starting RG and other OLmen
    to name a few..

Once a team makes the playoffs, it's a new season. Nothing else matters. Ask the Cardinals and Giants.

Have you been watching the games at all? Do you think starting over right now would have the Dolphins finishing any better than 8-8 or 7-9? Have you watched any of the playoff teams play this year? Colts? Chargers? Saints? Vikings?

You think because we start over they will all of a sudden flop and the Dolphins will miraculously become a contendor? Sorry to burst your bubble but it ain't happening. This team needs alot of help.

Have you watched us nearly beat the Chargers, Saints, and Colts? One slight change to those games and we could have won all of them. We don't fumble out the back of the end zone against the Chargers we probably win that game. Ginn catches the last pass against Indy and we win that game. If our safeties make couple tackles we win that game. If the refs make the correct call on the Sharper interception, we probably win that game. So you saying we don't have a shot at the playoffs is just ridiculous, we can compete with anyone. This is the NFL. **** happens. Have you ever watched the playoffs?

I dont care what people say we're still knocking on the door and can burst through it with the right moves in the offseason. I'd still love for a miracle to make the playoffs to at least get the young players like Henne, Hartline, Davis and Smith some more experience, regardless if we won or not.

I'll be watching and hoping next week, since it could be our last game until SEPTEMBER 2010. Damn that's a long time away.

Yea when we had Ronnie Brown this was a whole different team. We don't this is not the same team that played the Chargers, Saints, Colts... Getting in the playoffs at this point hurts this team more than it helps it. We need coaches, players and draft picks and getting into the playoffs makes our chances of fixing the problems worse not better.

If people were more realistic about the problems with this team and quit praising them for almost coming back in games where they never even showed up until the 4th quarter maybe we stand a better chance of the FO taking notice and trying to fix things so the seats will be full.

I'm sorry I don't mean to be negative but you ever hear of tough love? Sometimes punishment is a neccesity for the greater good of the individual or in this case team involved.

The question is this....Where does a 7-9 record put us in the draft? Can we gat ILB McClain?

I could see the Raiders pulling out a win honestly. But I don't see the Browns winning, but hey its the NFL who knows what could happen any week.

Why dont we just win our game.

The playoff generator seems to say if Balt loses to Oak and Texans lose to Ne and Jax loses to Cleveland we are still in....ugh...

Making the playoffs never hurts a team. I'd rather give this team full of young players playoff experience than have a slightly better draft pick. Higher draft picks are way overrated.

The good news is that Jax is at Cleveland. Jags suck on the road. We actually have a legitimate shot. This is hilarious.

I said this in another thread:

We had a playoff game last week and lost.

We had a playoff game today and lost.

What else is there to say. We are not a playoff team yet.

Yeah, we need all the "Angels In The Outfield" to convert to football, place Angels in 4 or 5 cities, and change the outcomes.

AND A PARTRIDGE IN A PEAR TREE.

    Our season is over.

But we played in a PLAYOFF GAME last year, and lost, but we were still a PLAYOFF TEAM.

We have playoff capable caliber players...but this Jekyll vs. Hyde stuff is the difference. I don't know what team will show up and execute. That is the difference, we have Playoff ability for sure.
