My question is did she know who she was really performing for or what he was known for doing. For some reason it just seems like her agent probably said "Hey you can get so and so money for doing this party for this guy." and she jumped. For some reason I doubt celebrities are up to date about this stuff or know anything about this guy. Its just money money money and the rest be darned.



I'm not taking up for her at all I am just posing that question because I believe for a lot of people they'd perform for Hitler if the money was right. So don't take that as a defense just something that crossed my mind. If she did know, that is awful and I bet no matter who asks for her in the future now she'll check out these guys first but never forget the power of ignorance people.

New Years Eve parties go all night, so the time that the events take place is the question. Conceivably it is possible to show your face at one event and fly to the other within about four hours, especially if you have your own private jet.

As far as the performance... C'mon man. I think you might be being a tad too judgemental. If they told Livesay, "Hey dude, fly to St. Barts and perform for some rich arab jerk for a million!" I'm pretty sure you (just like the rest of us) would be on the 1st plane. Do you really ask or care who's writing you a killer check?

True, and you and I both know I'd do it, but Beyonce doesn't need this money. She's already a millionaire many times over. In the business, we call that "adding inches to your dick". It's beneath her, frankly.

 

Not enough people put a strong value on their integrity. Were it more of a priority, performers (and everyone) would take responsibility for consciously deciding their actions and staying informed.

It's no unlike the conscious consumer movement, where you express your values with your wallet. If a company has poor ethical practices you do NOT buy their product. That means staying informed, if you care enough.

Beyonce obviously cares enough about money, but not enough about consciously living with integrity. You can bet your *** that more aware celebrities like Oprh *know* they could be misled into unethical traps so they 1) take care to check into things 2) make it clear to their staff that issues of integrity are important 3) choose (i.e. hire and fire) staff who will make choices consistent with their employer's vlaues and priorities.

At the least, Beyonce, if ignorant in this, should be re-assessing her relationship with the agent who booked her this gig.

A lot of people don't care though. They're about money and little else. Sort of goes with the whole "don't snitch" culture that continues to permeate. I'd bet a lot of entertainers would have jumped at the opportunity for that payday and the notoriety.

I am willing to bet that Beyonce has little to knowledge of who this guy is. Honestly, her agents probably shopped her services around to the highest bidder and she just got on a plane and performed. I honestly don't think she had any clue as to who she was performing for or anything like that.

Thats like saying that she performs for drug dealers, murderers and rapist because some of the people in her audience may be those things. She is way to PR savvy to do this knowingly. Its a non story in my opinion.

AND you could look at it from a different point of view. If she grossed 1 million, that means that that is a million less for this twat to fund anti American plans with, and since she is going to get taxed big time by the Government...in essence he paid Uncle Sam to throw a party!

I wouldn't play for him (if I had talent to be asked) if I knew who he was. I also wouldn't play for some crazy rich Arab just being paranoid he might be involved in or a target of terrorism or worse OPEC.
