I am not sure what feels worse.2013 when we blew the last two games or this year in week 16 still searching for a reason to watch.

This year, because we are the better team this year. We were achieving a great level of play till the wheels fell off.

All the Philbin years were equally bad. The faster hes gone the better off we are.

It all hurts.
Losing in week 17 to miss out.
Losing in week 15 to make the last two meaningless.
Going 1-15.
One day it will all be worth it and I'll cry tears of joy. -

The coaches did not adjust and here we sit with two preseason games to go.Typical dolphins get your hopes up in november only to see the rug pulled out in december. -

the pain of all this is knowing we will have this discussion next year if Philbin isn't fired . what are the chances of Philbin getting fired. I hope we lose the next two games because we are not going anywhere anyways. I rather have a higher draft pick seeing as we wont be in playoffs.

I think it's a little harder to look back to 2013 and know that if we found a way to win (against 2 of the league's lesser teams) we would've been in.
2014 is a different story. Miami's schedule has been is a lot tougher this year in relation to the rest of the AFC's Play-off contenders. Indy is going to walk into a home Play-off game because no one else in their division is worth a darn. Meanwhile, the AFC North has been beating up on the AFC and NFC South divisions. Outside of Indy, the other 7 teams in those 2 divisions are pretty bad. So while Indy is the default winner of the AFC South, the AFC North teams had it pretty easy as well and have all been in Play-off contention since week-1.
All the while, Miami was forced to deal with Green Bay, Denver, Detroit, Kansas City and San Diego who are all Play-off caliber teams.
It's pretty easy to understand that with all the injuries we sustained this year we came up a little short.
It's would've been really nice to have at least gotten into the picture last year. There are certainly reasons why that didn't happen, but it was largely personnel, while this year has been uniquely tough for the Dolphins in particular. -
I still can't believe we lost those last 2 games in 2013, I also can't believe we brought back the idiot coach who presided over that collapse and are about to do it again.

Every year for the past 18 years, minus 1 or 2, has been the worst year, as a Dolfan.
Pennington and Camarillo have been the highlights of my Dolfandom thus far.

Both years suck, it should always be playoffs or bust, if you didn't make it to post-season it was a failed season. Besides 3 years in the past 15 years, every year has sucked as far as i'm concerned.
It feels like yesterday when we running the Wildcat all over the NFL to go 11-5 and win the division, can't believe its been 6 years since...
