Ok, we've gotten a few Phins listed in last evenings show where they gave out 60-80. Ajayi made #69 and Wake made #62. Landry was #98 last year and had it in his locker as motivation all year as he's right that there aren't 97 players better than him in the league.
Based on last years performance, we all know he'll make the list. The question is will he crack the top 50 or not?
So far here are the only receivers listed:
#61 TY Hilton
#71 Edelman
#88 Doug Baldwin
I'm saying he shows up in the 40s.
I think Suh will show up somewhere too.

Ajayi 69 and Jarvis within top 60 (name has not been called). My guess is he is somewhere in the 50's and he is gonna be very angry about that lol

7th in catches is good, 10th in yds is good, but I think the same thing that hurt him last year will hurt him this year as well, tied for 48th in TDs, there's only 32 starting WRs in the league, and if you add the slot as a starter there are 48.
Landry may not be on it at all this year, while Edelman gets a "benefit of the doubt" vote, and last year Landry was the driving force of the O, this year Jayjay took center stage, and there are a ton of WRs that will be going on the list, I think he may have gotten snubbed.
I'm looking at it like, what did he do to get moved up 40 spots? He has 12 fewer catches and 20 fewer yds from last year, same TDs only his ypc went up from 10 to 12 and does that move him up 40 spots?
I'm surprised he didn't make it, if he didn't, but I can't imagine he moved up 40 spots.Dolphin North likes this. -
Yeah once we are in the 40s, the possibility he got snubbed starts becoming a possibility. But not a certainty. Is he better than TY Hilton?
But then again, this is voting by the players, so not based on merit, and so maybe he's really liked by his peers.
Cameron Wake is tops in his position, certainly higher than Landry is at his. I think Landry is in the Baldwin area of WR rankings (Baldwin higher due to TDs) and he's already ranked. So it'll be interesting to see. -
I need landry to stay humbled and be in the 50's. he takes that personal and is fuel for the fire. any WR or DB he plays against that is higher than him, he will look to show up
-
Look at what that did to Baldwin when Michael Irvin called the Seattle WR "aite."
Baldwin's been on a tear since.Rickysabeast likes this. -

yeah but unranked, really?
he is a victim of his own circumstance. not used right. so he is like 50 -
Perhaps a lot of guys in the league think Parker will be playing a bigger role...

Not sure about that, but I did see him on a big window display at CHAMPS sporting-goods store in Santa Monica. Woulda snapped a pic and posted it but I was walking with a business-coaching client. lol

Oh there's Suh at 55. I would be surprised if Landry made it.

They just put up Dez Bryant last night so it looks like Landry will get left off the list. He's not better than Dez I mean c'mon. Look out for ticked off Landry going bananas this year. Probably better for the team!

He's got to get in the EZ more to be thought of the way he wants. -

It's purely a popularity contest so it's very possible he's in the top 50. That's good for him. If he's featured in the commercial he's definitely ranked I'm sure.
I mean, it's really hard to say he's better than Dez, or even TY or Amari, or better at his position than Suh is at his. But it's a popularity contest again. Merit is not the primary factor here. -

This is a pretty good article on stats on slots (also #1 wrs, #2 wrs)

It is not only stats, it is his contributions. Punt and kick returns, a third-down-go-to-wr, a leader , who is always blocking down field. Look at Ajayi's big runs. Go look at the highlights on who the last man blocking was. He has his flaws with penalties and some drops. But he makes big plays. He is an energizer bunny for the team. All that should be considered. He had more recepts than any WR in his first two years. He is a safety blanket
