Jason Allen has got to be hanging on by the thinnest of wires about now ... if he makes it to mini-camp, he has a shot to make it to TC
Wright is not on sturdy ground either, but then again - we really didn't sign any DL ... so he should be safe to at least make it to camp. -
Got to be Jason Allen. We draft Vontae Davis and Sean Smith high, add that with the solid Will Allen, and the average Eric Green and Nate Jones, and you get Jason in real danger.

I think Nate Jones, Jason Allen, Rod Wright, and Paul Solai are very endangered at this point.
IF Camarillo didn't sign his extension, I'd throw him on that list too. I just think that the reason we drafted two wide receivers in the 3rd and 4th rounds is not only to add depth, but possibly add some insurance in case Camarillo can't fully recover from his ACL tear.Rocky Raccoon likes this. -

A few of them. This team was lousy not too long ago and Parcells is not adverse to cleaning house. I think if you don't produce you're going out no matter how much the rest of the team and the fans love you. Remember when they traded JT and cut Zach? Parcells will get rid of anybody not up to snuff.
In particular I think Rodrique Wright, Paul Solai and Ted Ginn better play hard this year. I also am going to go out on a limb and say Greg Camarillo might be playing his last year here. Not because he's bad. He's very good. But he's not a true #1 wide receiver. He performs well on the field but with the glut we have at wideouts he could become trade bait for next years draft. And it's a very Parcells thing to take a guy we got off the waiver wire and trade him for a valuable draft pick.
It's just a thought. But as they have said everyone is for trade. And just because Ginn has potential or Camarillo has performed well for us in the past doesn't make them safe in the future. After all Parcells just drafted some young guys of his own. It wouldn't surprise me if he traded the previous regime's guys not that he has in place. -
lets not forget about Ernest Wilford.

It's possible that Jason Allen's versatility in the secondary might keep him here a little longer...He is arguably better as a FS imho than any of the other spots he's been in. He could be the #4 S and #4 CB and possibly allow an extra roster spot during the season, depending on injuries, etc....
Soliai might be on the bubble here. McDaniels might end up pushing his way in as backup to Fergy and he can probably also be a part of the DE rotation as well, where Soliai can't do. Soliai is really an enigma for this regime because he has showed flashes of exactly what they want from the NT position, but he just hasn't kept it consistent....That's exactly why McDaniels was brought in.
Wright can still be part of the DE rotation but he really has to show his mettle...but who's there to give him competition as a rotational guy like he played last year ??
Ginn, Brown and Roth I just don't see going anywhere. For one thing, at least in Roth and Brown's positions there just isn't anyone behind them that remotely looks like they can take the spot.... Ginn might only be in trouble if one of the two rooks blow up in TC....other than that, he's here for another season at least...
Fields could very well be on the way out. He was largely inconsistent and they've shown a tendency to not be concerned about dumping a PK or Punter for a younger or newer prospect.... -

i don't think we're interested in using him as a safety since our secondary will be a Quarters team, so we would have to use him as a CB and he just doesn't cut it as a CB compared to our new CB's and Will Allen.

At S, you've got Wilson, Bell, Culver and Clemons....after that there's Bryan and Kilmer...so unless Green outplays Allen at CB or Culver/Clemons outplays him at S, he's in...
I see him at the cusp, no doubt, but an injury in TC or Smith, Davis or Clemons tanking for whatever reason and he could be a viable option as the #4 CB and/or S....HULKFish likes this. -
the bottom third of the roster & any of them could fall to the cut

Roth, Brown and Ginn? They dont need to worry at all.
The others ESPECIALLY Allen? They need to step up their game big time. -

hes also a much better STs player. that alone makes me think he will stick over Jones. -
Ronnie Brown?/ ROFL

If it is about getting rid of a larger contract then yes J.A is toast. If it isn't about the contracts then my endangered list consists of Eric Green (guy just flat out sucks and was a depth signing before we added 2 CB's), Quentin Moses, David Martin (5 TE's on roster, he is not from this regime and a FA next year who I think does not get resigned). Brandon London (and wilford). Ndukwe. That is my endangered list beyond the obvious like joey thomas.

i'm not sure who is worse: Green or Allen ... but i guess TC will bear that out. i'm also not sure how we can even entertain discussions of Allen's 'potential' at this point, the best we could ever hope for from him is to be average ... which of course is dissappointing considering his athleticism - but it is what it is. i doubt we keep Allen around at his pay for STs ...

Another thing that makes you go hmmmm is that this will be J.Allen's first year where he didn't have an entirely new coaching staff to deal with. So scheme wise he should have it down now.
-
Once mgmt sees what they have with the rookies i think he will be a camp casualty. -
Wilford & Green are cuts.
David Martin is one I think won't be here too long if any of the picked up TEs are as good or close. He's about to 30 and his contract will be up end of the year.
I also think Camarillo could be the odd man out, if our recent picks perform.
I also think Ginn & J.Allen are safe. In fact, I think they are very safe for the next few years. -
I'm rather intrigued by the new UDFA rookie NT, Louis Ellis from Shaw U. Soliai may want to watch his back.
