I have heard all these rumors lately from many different sources. just wondering which you would prefer...
1. Trading our 1st to Cleveland for Derek Anderson
2. Trading our 1st to Cincy for 1st (9th pick) and Chad Johnson (maybe a 3rd also)
3. Trading our 1st to Arizona for 1st (16th pick) and Larry Fritzgerald (maybe a 3rd also)
i'd prefer taking the cincy trade because then we might still be able to land james laurinaitis osu MLB to replace zach. i hate the anderson trade but would be willing to do the arizona trade because we NEED a number 1 WR and there still is really good talent in the 16th pick. some other possible people that could be taken around 9-16 pick would be CB's mike jenkins USF, and malcom jenkins OSU. OT Sam Baker USC,Calais Campbell DE Miami, DT Sedrick Ellis USC. we have so many holes we could fill two by trading for a #1 WR and still getting a decently high pick.
Keep in mind how hard it will be able to trade out of the #1 pick and get maximum value for it.

I would think we would have to include something other than our first to get Chad and their first. However I'd like that trade most.
-
oh man id take the Cincy pick in a heartbeat.
get Chad Johnson to give ourselves a threat at WR, and probably open holes for our running game since more people would cover him.
gives us #9 pick which we could still get Laurinitis or Connor, or even Sedrick Ellis. then at #32 u get another defensive star. -
2 i really want Chad Johnson he would be good here and he likes miami area
-
I would prefer all rumors to go away, let reality happen at the hands of Parcells, and then we can discuss that after its done and not have to speculate. But thats just me.
Bumpus, sgtphin, Phinperor and 1 other person like this. -

Larry Fritzgerald is going to be getting paid 14.6 mill this year compared to Chad Johnson 3 Mill i would much rater have CJ who is Better IMO
-
-
I am not sure about any of them, but #2 suits me the best, if we get a third as well. What about the salary hit between Fitz and Chad. What would be the difference between them if we signed either? -
2. I'm a Chad Johnson fan. He would help John Beck develop tremendously, because he goes AFTER balls, and will even defense them if it's a bad throw, unlike Mr. Chambers. CJ is an elite WR and Miami sorely needs one. I say pull the trigger. I'm positive there would still be equal talent to the #1 overall at #9 considering all of Miami's needs so its a win win pretty much.

OMG...
"we cant afford to give up a pick for a proven good player, and risk picking a player whos gonna be a bust"...
"we're the miami dolphins, we dont want trash talkers on our team"...
for crying out loud people...we are 1-15. not 15-1, 1-15!! i dont think we have a RIGHT to have standards in our players. we need guys who can help us WIN. if Owens/Moss/CJ wanna come to Miami for cheap, ill welcome them with open arms....i dont care one bit if they are trash talkers. if Tank Johnson, Chris Henry, Albert Haynesworth all wanna come here....WELCOME TO MIAMI.
(and i think the fact that Anderson is starting in Cleveland next year, goes to show that Quinn isnt doing so well.)
id MUCH rather get a proven player, than pick someone who can easily be a bust. (like reggie bush and mett leinart). -
Lets sign guys that have openly expressed their fondness for marijuana and admitted to not playing hard because his team wasn't winning.
Lets trade for players that were sentenced to 18 months in jail for misdemeanor gun charges.
Lets bring in players that step on other players faces when they're laying on the ground.
Lets welcome a guy that has had several runins with the law including, but limited to, drug charges that resulted in a suspension, a sex crime in a Covington Kentucky hotel room, DWI, providing alcohol to minors, was suspended by the NFL for violating personal conduct rules and to top it off....for assaulting a 16 year old boy. Welcome to Miami Chris Henry!!!
 -
I just want players who will be here and improve the team. All through history players have been rebels and unruly subjects. Joe Namath, Michael Irvin and Lawrence Taylor have all been in the news for the wrong reasons in the past, but are also still known as great players. As long as they behave through the season, and produce who cares. -
-
I like Fitzgerald. Younger, faster, more flexible in coverage, less likely to cost the team 15 yards after every TD...
-
-
Fitzgerald is a Top 10 WR who hasn't even come close to what he's capable of (which is frightening to think of, because he's already pretty darn good as is). To get him and the 16th pick, where they can upgrade their defense with the 16th (Mike Jenkins?) and 32nd picks? Or get a LT at 32 (Michael Oher maybe?)..... Once Fitzgerald re-signs, that cap figure will be nowhere near what it is on paper now.
If this has been offered, I'd do it before Rod Graves has a chance to change his mind. -
None of them, I'd prefer a rumor about us getting an upgrade on the O line or the D line, not some sexy trade for a WR or QB, that's where our biggest needs are, JMO.:confused2:

No trading picks for players, any players. Draft, draft, draft, did I say draft. Oh ya like I said before draft. We have way to many needs.
-
-
I'd vote for "Jessica Alba does the wild thing with Celtkin" , but that's just me. :hi5:

-
How about the rumor that we'll be a better team next year?
-
-
-
Peter King's 3rd round pick for Chad Johnson would be the best trade in franchise history.
-
cincy trade sounds good
