Channing Crowder is hilarious, but that's not the kind of comment you should be making in public.

Crowder has said he does not have a Twitter account because he would be run out of the league, I can see why, he has pissed people off on two continents.

He was pretty slow and unathletic himself....

The only white boy I can think of who was fast and athletic at the LB position was Urlacher

 

Personally I don't care what a player/coach on my team says or does as long as he performs on the field. It's not like I am going out drinking with the guy.

I guess it's important to the people that have young kids that idolize these players. But my son is almost 16 and he can recognize an idiot when he sees one.

Years of experience and overall awareness of the game had more to do with that than speed.

Crowder should not have said what he said, but what I find funny in general is noticing a trend is considered racism... if audience analysis has taught me anything... it's that. There are always exceptions to generalizations, but I'd say if you're comparing African American linebackers to Caucasian linebackers... the Caucasian linebackers would be slower. So in a sense, I'd agree with Crowder but how he went on making the comments the way he did... I disagree with him.

Well, I thought Crowder was dealing in stereotyping, but I learned a long time ago Channing talks a bunch of ****, so much so I treat what he says sort of like an excerpt from "The Kings of Comedy", just take it as funny as imo that was his intent.

 

When I first saw the title I thought it said white RBs are slow...then thought to myself 'no ****'.

Am I the only one not bothered by this? Does anyone still take Crowder seriously when he speaks? The guy is the outspoken, outgoing jester of the team. He pretty much makes it known that he is out to have a good time and to not take any of this seriously.
