Cool. So far, through one defensive drive, they haven't showed anything crazy. They've been eaten alive on the weak side however. Poppinga is getting stonewalled every time and is terrible at setting the edge. The same can't be said for Aaron Kampman, actually the contrary.

I believe Thompson and Matthews expect to play in this game.

Great job by Matthews and Thompson there on the first play. Matthews is weak side and Thompson is strong side. Thompson drives the RT into the backfield with a bulrush, Matthews comes free off the line and makes the run stop. Thompson has some LONG arms. Jesus. They've got him playing seven technique from what I've noticed and then Matthews playing the 5 as well as head on over the TE, which I found interesting.

Lol. Thompson has gone up against David Stewart every play so far and I think its safe to say he's still pretty raw. Not many pass rush moves, not even a rip or anything really. He does a pretty good job of setting the edge though. He's got the strength, as it's noticeable with the good bulrush he has. He's forced Stewart into the pocket a couple times with it. When setting the edge, he hasn't always forced it back inside but he's made the play on the outside. Clay Matthews I saw mess up his assignment on the Vince Young scramble prior to the touchdown. He was playing five technique and bit on the play action fake, got shoulder blocked by the LT and he was done. So much for playing containment there.

EDIT: Nice job throwing the LT on the weak side by Thompson on that play right there. Locked up, threw the blocker aside and continued his path. Next play down, he is stuck to the blocker like a magnet. : /

Yes he is but I haven't noticed him at all.

Yeah, I saw him cover on the last two plays as well. Doesn't look bad at all IMO. Looked a bit like Quentin Moses turning and running.

That was a nice throw to Dominique Edison, who is abusing these PS corners lol.

I think Marks had 16 reps of 225? Ouch.

He's already shown more in this preseason than Gholston did all last season IMO.
