So who else got shafted into working?? I'm here at work now because Canadians and Europeans don't give two ****s about thanksgiving and my company is staying open At least it's triple time....
We do care about thanksgiving Mor, just the one in October. Also, I'm Canadian that handles US Sales, so today is wicked for me at work, I get to catch up on a bunch of shhh without receiving one email or phone call. Happy Thanksgiving though.
Suck it up. I worked Canadian Thanksgiving, working the American Thanksgiving and I'll be working Xmas, Boxing Day and New Years Day ;p
Fortunately don't have to work Thanksgiving any longer, but used to do it when I worked at the U of Miami. I worked at the Physical Plant, in the customer service on the phones (yes the one the students and professors called when the A/C didn't work, or their toilet was broken). It was usually quiet, no one much on campus, maybe a phone call or two all day and I got to bring my portable TV and plug it into the cable TV outlet and watch TV all day and get paid for it
