We haven't always been successful with our 1st round pick, but since we had decent success with Minkah, I hope this year we can duplicate our efforts. Is there someone who, in your opinion, is a can't miss prospect this year - where we would have a legitimate chance to draft - that would be a perfect fit for us? We need help everywhere, so IMO most position groups are options at 13 or a trade back.

I know I will be alone in this, but maybe my favorite player in this draft is Christian Wilkins. He uses his hands so well and never lets lineman get into his body, unlike someone like Gary that gets bodied all the time but is just disruptive at the college level because his big and fast.
To me, what Wilkins shows translates in better against the run and the pass in the NFL.Surfs Up 99 likes this. -
Safest picks, in my opinion, are Dwayne Haskins (QB), T.J. Hockenson (TE), Jonah Williams (OT/G), A.J. Brown (WR), Chris Lindstrom (G), Christian Wilkins (DT/NT), and Zach Allen (3-4 DE/4-3 DT).
There are superior, higher skill-ceiling prospects, but these guys will be successful barring some catastrophic injury.Surfs Up 99 likes this. -
Let me change the question slightly, if at #13 Oakland offered you their #24 and #27. What players available at #13 would make you turn down that offer?

Maybe: Montez Sweat, Jawaan Taylor, Jonah Williams, Kyler Murray, Dwayne Haskins
Move Down: Brian Burns, Drew Lock, Daniel Jones, Devin White, Rashan Gary, etc.Surfs Up 99 likes this. -
Of guys who aren't expected to be picked in the top five, I would say Ed Oliver and Montez Sweat would likely be my top two. Though I would be happy to take any number of other players if the trade down offer wasn't there.Surfs Up 99 likes this. -
The best version of this deal I've had (Which has only happened once out of the hundreds of attempts I've done) was where everyone I was super keen on at #13 was gone, so I traded with the Giants for #15 and #5 in the 2nd round. Then got offered #24 and #27 for #15.Surfs Up 99, skippysphins and Unlucky 13 like this. -
Kipper and McShay have us taking Either Gary or Oliver. Who do you like better? When it comes to his motor, is Gary another Jordan Phillips?

If Oliver is available at #13. I'm popping champagne whilst handing in that pick.

Gary has the elite athlete measurables that will get him drafted early, and if he harnesses that, he will be a terror ... but I would let someone else take that risk unless the draft really fell a particular way.
Of pass rush, I'd rather go after a Sweat or Ferrell or maybe even Burns than Gary.Surfs Up 99 likes this. -

So pumped to get Wilkins. This is one of the few times ive loved a player before the draft and Miami got him.djphinfan, AGuyNamedAlex and Surfs Up 99 like this. -
Cant miss in this draft is Quinnen Williams, really REALLY high ceiling, and a high floor. I am saying this as someone who doesnt believe in taking Alabama defenders because they rarely get much better than they played at Bama
