I think it should be anyone but Henning. He seriously needs to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm sick of this team settling for field goals and losing games because of it.

I cant stand him and his stupid mediocre play calling. Screw him and his stupid wildcat screw it all. Goddamit i cant stand the plays he calls. Running play with a field length to go with only 2:28 on the clock to go stole the cake seriously. Just like Paul Pasqualonie, no balls, no risk, mediocre results. No thank you, bring on the firing squad cause he needs to go.

Based on what? You've heard the name "David Lee" before?

Norv Turner runs nearly the exact same offense with the exact same tendencies that Dan Henning does.

Stylistically they're similar. But Turner I don't think Turner is the type that we would bring here.

Henning is a little more conservative than Norv but for the most part, you're right.

Sorry to take it the wrong way, but the line between parody and reality around here has gotten perilously thin.

I dunno, I think Norv Turner has looked a little more progressive as of late because of what he's had in San Diego. They were still rolling out with an I-formation and attempting what I think is a surprising amount of rushes last season even though their offensive strength was clearly not running.

As far as David Lee, not sure on that, although I don't want Henning back.

But instead of a rant like this, why don't you tell us why?

What have you seen from Lee while with the Fins or in his past that makes you think he will be better than Henning?

Why? Because Henning is the new Wannstedt. That's why. The only difference is that where Wannstedt said it was no sin to punt, Henning says it's no sin to kick a field goal.

Changing offensive coordinators in the middle of the season always works!
It's not seen as a sign of desperation at all!
I'm hoping we can persuade Chip Kelly out of Oregon seeing that he is constantly getting jumped in the BCS polls. He can revolutionize our offense completely!

I mean hell its not like we were a pathetic call away from beating a Top 3 team in this league. Lets jump ship! I say CLEAR HOUSE!!

    Hell no!

You think Henning is bad? You haven't seen bad until you see David Lee's run/run/two yard pass on third and eight philosophy of offensive football. If he was terrible at Arkansas as an OC in TWO different stints, what do you think will happen at the NFL level?

He is a good enough QB Coach, but you don't want him anywhere near the offensive playbook.

No, actually, I didn't. You're welcome to go look up where I claimed that, though. (Edit:Ohh ho, you deleted it. That's cute. )

You are also welcome to address the topic at hand in any meaningful way, but I'm somewhat doubtful you've got anything worthwhile to add to that conversation either. It's like you've got a record of ****ty posts.

That's not fair. David Lee had at Arkansas; Darren McFadden, Felix Jones and Peyton Hillis. He also had a QB in Casey Dick. I didn't blame him for going run run run. That was due to the talent he had as OC there. With that kind of talent in the back field the team was successful offensively in 2007 anyway.

However, having said that I have no idea how he would go as an OC in the NFL. I will say that it would be intriguing to me.

Miami threw the ball 36 times and ran the ball 21 times.

Plus the Dolphins should get two yards on a run, so running on 3rd and 2 isn't conservative.

I am not understanding the call for conservatism?

You are not getting the big picture.Throw your stats out the window.Get the ball on turnovers in the redzone twice not one attempt at the endzone.Result kick 2 field goals. How many points did we lose by.Thank you!
Don't even get me started on the 5 wrs screens and the run to brown with 2.19 left on the clock.***** ball!!!!!!!!!

In a meaningful way, wtf would you know about that? You're on here for no other reason but to be a smart ***.......

And yeah, you were on here telling us how ridiculous we were for not understanding how our FO could think Pat White was a legitimate QB prospect...... you look it up. I could care less........ you know it and I know it, works for me;]

Except for the bad throw fumble, which was not the fault of the wide receiver screen, those plays worked.

I got the big picture. I remember Wanny ball. You must not, because he would never run for so little and throw for so much.

It is incredibly fair. He took an offense, under Gus Malzahn, that was nigh unstoppable in 2006 and made it very average in 2007. There is no reason the best backfield in recent history of college football should have finished anything less than a BCS bowl and that is that.

I will revolt if he is made OC here.

I would say Norv is much, much more aggressive then Henning. Turner loves to throw the ball upfield and has actually talked about how your first read is down-field deep and if that is not open then you take whatever is left. His entire mindset is push the ball down-field.

I challenge anyone to say thats Hennings attitude. Just because two coordinators work out of similar playbooks does not mean they run similar offenses or have the same mindset.

As for David Lee, for me this falls under the category of "Anyone has to be better then this guy." What has Lee really done to prove he can be a quality NFL coordinator? I am very much on board with the idea of replacing Henning but I am not sure what Lee has done to make anyone think he would do a better job.

Ross should be institutionalized if he messes with our coaching. Henning should be our offensive coordinator until he decides to retire. He's perfect for Henne's development. Let the fans ***** and moan. I like Sparano's second theme saying "**** the fans."
