I have been a fan of Conan since 1993. I was very happy to hear (years ago now) that Gay Leno was leaving the Tonight Show, and that Conan would be taking over.
Yesterday, it FINALLY happened! I am so glad Leno is gone and Conan is in. I have to believe that Letterman will get destroyed in the ratings, my god is he an unfunny bastard...
Anyhoo, who else watched Conan last night?

I saw it. The intro was funny, and I personally prefer Conan over Leno. However, Letterman is still the best out of the 3. He is just downright hilarious and I love when he busts out the old Carson skits. Letterman will benefit from Leno dropping to 10 o clock now.

I stopped watching Conan when Andy Richter left. I still think Conan is funny, but Richter was so good and made that show one of the best on TV.
The sad thing about Leno is that his stand-up in the 80's was actually funny. He had an edge to him that disappeared when he became a sell-out. -

i'm hoping he stays funny though and isn't forced to really tame his jokes down a lot. i have the feeling we'll never see triumph again, and some of the other crudge jokes will probbaly be gone. we'll see though, gotta give him a few months to see if he stays as funny

he's almost more like a sidekick, from the announcers stand. he was on quite a bit and funny. it was great. really funny. i like letterman a lot too though. finally late night is a tough decision.
i just dont get Leno, and i cannot fathom how he could possibly be so popular and successful on late night. the folks who watch him must be the same who voted for Bush's 2nd term.

so I watched the monlogue on my lunch... funny stuff, i usually don't watch his show, but that was good. Even the skits he did were funny. Now then, here's my issue... why is it okay for him to make fun of the mexicans, yet if he made fun of black people that way, he'd be torched? Lucky, what say you?

Conan is awesome and so far he's doing a great job. I wasn't a fan of the show when Andy was on it as I got into it in the later years, but now that I get to see them together for the first time I am impressed. They work really well together.
