The 2009 schedule should be released in about 5ish weeks, who would you like to see the Dolphins open with?
Home games are Bills, Jets, Patriots, Pittsburgh, Houston, Indianapolis, New Orleans and Tampa Bay
Away games are Bills, Jets, Patriots, San Diego, Tennessee, Jacksonville, Carolina, Atlanta
I'm sure after last season, we'll get some primetime games, but for now all games will be on CBS, except for the home games against New Orleans and Tampa Bay.
I kind hope that we can go to San Diego opening weekend, so that we can get our only cross-country trip over with early.

I know we're on the road to start the season, so based on strength, I'd like to open the season in Jacksonville or Buffalo.

-
New England! Bust them in the mouth first game. Start it off right.

Are the Marlins playing in Miami Sept. 13th?
I went and looked at the Marlins schedule, they do play in Miami on Sept. 13th -
Yes. Then the Dolphins should be home week 2 and back on the road week 3.
-
-
Which would be sweet. That actually happened this past season as well.
-
@ Bills. 1-0.
-
Last year worked out pretty good, it took me 2 weeks to come down off my high after we beat the Jest out of the Patriots in Foxboro:up: I still remember that one guy/fan crying in the stands:cry:Rocky Raccoon likes this.

I would like to open either at SD for that big cross country game, or against a divisional opponent.
The home opener, I would like to also see a div. opponent. The one team I dont want to see in a home opener is Houston. They have our number for whatever reason. I would like to take them while just starting a hot streak and put them away hard. -
Patriots.
Give Brady a rough welcome back.
Buffalo would be nice to.
I would like it to be a division opponent.
We win, great! We lose...this will give our coaching staff perfect motivation to jump on their asses even more. -

Sounds like a plan! :knucks:

:pity:
Don't be a party pooper NJ. Obviously we have to play every game on our schedule, but it's fun to see who the first will be. -
-
-
I will be at that one....as well as ATL and Jax. All are within perfect driving distance from Savannah.
-
Good points. Let Joey Porter welcome Brady back to the NFL!!!

Either @ NE or the Jets. Like Debby says I want it to be an AFC East opponent, because it achieves two goals with one win.

Agree on NE...get Brady @ home his first game back from a LONG layoff, he throws 3 picks and we win 31-3.

I don't think you can stress enough the importance of starting out the season with a win. Based on that, I'd like us to face either the Jets or Bills. Not even talking trash, but based on our schedule they could be the two weakest teams we face next year. It's also great to start the season off with a game against a division rival.
I'm not sure who mentioned it, but I'm also really excited about the Carolina game. I have a lot of friends in Charlotte and will definitely be making the trip to that game. As soon as the schedule is released I'll be making plans.Fin-Omenal likes this. -
The same here bro, we should get together!

Even though I like the idea of getting the SD road trip out of the way, I think going up to NE and welcoming Tom Brady back would be nice also. Plus it gets rid of one cold weather game late in the year.
-
Eh i dont have much of a preference. As long as its a W thats all that matters to me.

A "W" is always nice, but it's just fun to think who we might be playing in week 1.:wink2:

Well I'm with the group who would like us to kick thing off against the Pats. Going into the season, the Pats are going to be looking to regain divisional dominance. If we can beat them week 1, we're sending them the message that we don't plan on giving it back anytime soon.
Plus the end result is them 0-1 and us 1-0, putting us in the lead from the very beginning. -
Indy at home week 1. lets take the colts out of their bubble and inject them into the toaster over that is dolphins stadium in september. we'll see how their hurry up attack and speed on defense hold up in 110 degrees.
-
The Jets.
That way we can stomp them and Dolfans in NY can relish in Mark Cannizaro NOT making Jets superbowl predictions right off the bat after game one. -
honestly i would like to open against one of the weaker teams of our schedule so that we can start off with a win, since its already clear that we are starting on the road, i wouldnt mind the bills because the rest of our away games are tough ones, jets, pats, panthers, falcons, chargers, titans, jaguars, i dunno if i would like to open against one of them
-
not possible we start on the road
