12 team keeper, PPR, all TDs 6. QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, WR, TE, D, K
Already keeping:
Fitz
Austin
Ray Rice
I have the 3rd pick in our 1st round and I'm still debating who I want.
Top options are:
Jamaal Charles
Tony Romo
Shonne Greene
Benson
McCoy
Colston
Johnathon Stewart
Ryan Matthews
Who would you take?
Leaning towardsRomo. As much as I'd like another great RB to tandem w/Rice, I don't see a sure thing on the board. I really think Romo has a lot of reasons to why could end up Top 3

Mathews. Im in a keeper as well with the first overall pick for an inherited team and Ill tell you right now thats my pick. Norv Turner loves a workhorse back.
Also:
-Romo throws too many INT's for my liking.
-Greene hasnt stayed healthy in years even in college
- Charles will time share with Jones.
Mathews may lose some 3rd down catches to Sproles but I highly doubt Sproles actually gets more then a handful of carries a game.
McCoy would be my 2nd choice if its a PPR leagueslickj101 likes this. -
As much as I hate to say it, I would lean towards Greene... or perhaps Romo, depending on who has already been kept. I know, with the way things look to be playing out, I want one of the top 5 qb's (Brees, Rodgers, Manning, Brady, Schaub, or Romo). So, if those QBs are slim pickings, I would lean towards Romo. If you've got some options at QB, I would look hard at Greene or Matthews. Both are young backs with potential to be a long term keeper. Both have solid olines, too. The thing that worries me about Matthews is that he unproven and the Chargers may be quite unbalanced on offense if VJax is out for several games. Greene on the other hand, has been handed the reins to the offense and finished last year strong.
Personally, I would steer clear of Colston, Benson, and McCoy. Colston is in an offense that doesn't have a clear focus whereas Benson has trouble staying healthy. McCoy, meanwhile, is getting opportunities but isn't worth the #3 pick IMO.
Romo, Greene, or Matthews.slickj101 likes this. -

Go with Romo. I don't know what Boik's talking about regarding Romo throwing too many picks, since he threw all of 9 INTs last season.
Missing out on Ryan Mathews stings a little bit, but you have Ray Rice, which should dull the wound. See if you can get LeSean McCoy in the 2nd round.slickj101 likes this. -
tough choice but its either Romo or Matthews
i wouldnt mind having Flacco as my QB. You can always keep Matthews for next year too right?
I dont know but its a long wait for your next pick.
Romo and next tier RB

I'm goin Romo then next tier RB if there's still value there. If the RBs aren't great then it'll be top 3 TE.
Then championship. -

Needless to say, I am interested to see how your draft goes. You should post it here so we can see it. :up:PeaTearGriffin likes this. -

Norv Turner works the holy hell out of his backs and does not time share. His history tells you this. If you can get McCoy in round two god bless but unless youre drafting with a bunch of knuckleheads that wont happen based on the talent listed. I hope it happens for ya though slick.

Do you know or have reason to believe that Matthews already owns the GL work in SD?
Bowe has more value to me since he's the true WR 1. Nicks has a lot more competition for targets. -
Drew Brees threw 11 INTs in 2009 and 28 over the last two seasons.
Tom Brady threw 13 INTs in 2009, and, well, the same amount over the last two seasons. :wink2:
Tony Romo threw 9 INTs in 2009 and 23 INTs over the last two seasons.
Romo comes out smelling like a rose on the interception test. -
I dont dislike romo, I just dont know that I would take a good QB over someone I feel can be a top fantasy running back. Running backs not in time shares are rare these days and Turner hasnt ever subscribed to that. I hope Romo has a good year for you and you win though.
As for Nicks Vs Bowe, theyre a lot closer then you think. While Nicks has more players to contend with for passes he has better hands and manning loves throwing the goalline fade. He threw it a lot when the Giants had Burress and Shockey and hes a better Qb now then he was a few years ago. Plus Nicks made a great dallas defense look foolish multiple times last year. he breaks tackles every time he touches the ball it seems. -

Either he's BSing or trying one of those "too crazy to work, so it will" ideas.

be happy with Matthews kids going to tear it up
Is Schaub available to draft? -
