My guess is just to frustrate people and get them to create threads like this on forums.

Dude must be the most lovable human being on the planet to hang on as long as he has with as terrible as he's played.

    Maybe he's gotten better?

    I hope.

    I pray.

    I wish.

New coaches and different blocking schemes... Gase's staff want to evaluate the roster for themselves and are waiting to see if anyone else is going to step up and be better option as the starting LG. Same with a number of other positions...

What folks don't want to realize, is that for the past couple years, he has been the 4th best lineman on the team, now that is a talent problem, and I hope that Bushrod or Urbik or somebody is better this year, or that he steps up his game, but the "anybody is better than DT" thing, just isn't true.

I thin he shows flashes of potential in camp and Miami just doesn't want to get burned. I think this is the make/break year

Yeah we all thought John Jerry was basically an out of shape, overweight, pylon who coudn't stay onside if his life depended on it during his last 3 years with the Dolphins.

3 years after his departure and the dude is still a #1 Guard on the Giants Depth Chart. There is something to be said for NFL Game experience. Thomas has definitely been bad the last couple years. But his feet are wet and he has survived this long, so maybe he puts that experience to use and becomes 'competent' soon.

I have to say, at times you do have your comedy moments

I'd also bet there is a great many things we agree upon, we just don't talk about them, we probably spend too much time talking about the things we don't agree on.

editors note; "things we don't agree on" = QB17

Hmmm.....I'm an extreme liberal, pro LGBTQ rights, mac using, feminist, atheist, vegan.

I feel like our Venn Diagram intersects only at the Dolphins...maaaaaaaaaybe at atheist.

Maybe, just maybe, the problem is that he clearly is not starter caliber and should be a 7/8/9 guy. Maybe the problem isn't him but rather that he was our 5th best option which is really telling of how bad we've been at drafting and developing OL. No reason to cut depth of he's better than guys that are 2nd/3rd off the bench.

Well Thomas is probably the worst or 2nd worst guard in the league so maybe we can find the 3rd or 4th worst and start them instead this year. I think they are just not handing the job to Tunsil but honestly if he can't beat out Thomas then we have to be worried about him.

    Well away from here
Every coach needs a living, breathing example of how not to do things. Plus he is a great measuring stick, if you play like him you don't have a damn chance.
