Maybe grab Flynn and bingo. I think he's interviewing with Kansas City at the moment. He's my new favorite and I didn't even know his name 2 minutes ago...

Yeah, he reminds me of Coker as well. I'd love referring to him as Philbo Baggins of the mire.

He has a great name at least. Could have some fun with that.

I think this could work makes sense if we try to sign flynn dunno how much money hes going to demand could even DARE I say go O LINE or wr with 1st round pick then.

I'm with you....I've been thinking Philbin + Flynn and a draft for WR, OL, OLB pass rusher, and speed pass catching TE and FS is the ticket...I could see Daboll and Philbin working out an effective high power offense that gets the job done. I honestly believe its the best path for the franchise. I'm not solding on trading away a boat load of picks at all.
With all of that said - I dont think I'd want Flynn without someone from GB that knows the system and how to work with the guy...something up there is working for these young QBs, so lets bring even a little taste of the system here.Pandarilla likes this. -
The Packer coach I really want is Tom Clements, their QBs coach. The man who helped mold Rodgers and Flynn.

Philbin and Clements have been discussed at length in the Club, Philbin for several months now. He is one of the many that I would be fine with.

I really don't see what the hype is about Philbin other then he is a coach with the Packers. He doesn't call the plays over there.

So let me make sure I understand this.
1. Ross said he wanted someone with head coaching experience on this level. No on the job training.
2. Ross said he wanted a young Don Shula
3. We are going to hire yet another assistant who has no head coaching experience on this level and is not a young Don Shula.

Ross is going around the system and tracking his plane will garner no leads. He really has no clue how things are done.

Here is a nice bio from packers website on Philbin for those who might not be familiar with Mr Philbin. -
Armando thinks there might be a better GB candidate for hire.
Did the Dolphins interview best Green Bay assistant?
The Dolphins have announced their interivew with Green Bay offensive coordinator Joe Philbin has concluded this Saturday afternoon.
Great.
I'm wondering if they interviewed the best Green Bay assistant?
The fact of the matter is many NFL people I speak with tell me the biggest budding star in the Green Bay Packers coaching staff is assistant head coach Winston Moss. Yes, Joe Philbin is considered to be a very good coach. He is a solid X and O guy and he has no problem communicating with most of his players.
But those same people tell me Moss commands a room when he walks into it. Those people tell me when Moss speaks, everyone listens. They tell me Moss will be a head coach in the NFL and if he gets into the right situation, he will be a bigtime winner because he knows football, knows how to pick good people, and is a natural leader.
And so again, I ask, are the Dolphins interviewing the right Green Bay assistant?

That should tell you something about the state of the franchise. And how it's perceived.
And hot damn, I love your sig. -

Regardless what happens in his career and Miami's thoughts on his interview, hope this turns out well for Philbin, but doesn't sound good.
