Obviously O'Hare may come a bit cheaper. But, if they really are concerned about the guard position (and if Feinga is the current starter, no matter if it's a "message" to Jerry or not, there are concerns there), then go after Leonard Davis and see what they can get for the guy. He's a 10 year vet at OG and O-linemen can notoriously have long careers. He's a mammoth run blocker - maybe the biggest player in the NFL. And, he's started 155 games in 10 seasons - missing only five games in his entire career. That's impressive. He'd be an automatic starter at RG. Piddling around with free agents, late round picks, bottom of the roster guys and extra-cheap vets along the line is just risky. I do like Nate Garner - IF he is back at full speed (a question mark after an achilles injury). But, if he is, he can play both RG and/or RT quite effectively. But, still, at the very least why not give Davis a serious look, offer him a couple of mil over a few years and you could have a really improved physical O-line.
At the moment, Jerry is the starter at RG with Incognito at LG and Pouncey at Center. All account have Feinga running terrible practices. Our best bet may be to get another LG and shift Incognito to RG but if the team stays the way it is, Jerry gets the nod, which is scary if you think about how poor the backups are.
If they are wanting someone to help Pouncey with the OL calls though as CK has suggested... O'Hara would make better sense...
Because O'Hara has hit a higher upside more recently than Davis has, and has good mobility, they know he can do everything they'll ask from him because the blocking scheme in New York is fairly close, and both DeGuglielmo and Sparano have extensive history with him, and he's a notable team leader, and an outstanding technician at a position that we'll be training a young player in.
