eh..it's possible..the guy makes a ton of dough and is married to a supermodel.it's really a question of can mike tice score that many tickets!
I think the injury will have little to no effect on him, a la Dan Marino. And remember, he was dating Giselle during the 2007 season. Relationships are typically hot and heavy to start with. Not to mention the drama of his previous GF being pregnant and giving birth during training camp. He threw 50 TDs that year and had them within 2 minutes of a 19-0 season. If he wasn't distracted then, he ain't gonna be now. I expect another 35+ TD season from Brady. They're gonna be tough like always. Wouldn't be surprised if they're hovering around 2007 level goodness.
No. There are way too many closet patriot fans here Tom Brady has won 3 Super Bowls. Ben Cheeseburger (Ben R., Steelers) has won 2. Do people even put Ben Cheeseburger in the same breath as Tom Brady? I don't think they do. All the other acolades mean nothing IMO. Super Bowl wins are what football is all about. The MVPs, the Pro Bowls, they are all nice individual accomplishments. Same thing with stats. Those acolades mean nothing without SB victories. Cheeseburger only has one less than Brady and yet IMO there is a considerable drop off in regards to the two when most people get to talking about them. If it were up to me both would be banished from the league or stuck into a blender. I hate both teams they play for and both get way too much credit for a game that is supposed to be a team effort. /rant /soapbox , etc
I think Brady is unquestionably a better QB than Big Ben. Unquestionably. Only question is whether his knee drops him to #2. If it's all about Super Bowls, Brady has thrown 7 TD's and 1 INT in four. Despite being beat to hell and virtually shutdown by the Giants, he didn't throw an INT and led them on what on most days would have been the game-winning drive. It's not his fault they didn't win a fourth title. Throw out the gaudy stats and just look at mistakes. Brady throws a lot more passes than Ben every year. Their offenses are very different. And yet Brady's INT percentage is more than a full point lower. They don't put them in the same breath because they don't belong in the same breath IMO. Ben's an excellent player. But Brady is a sure-fire Hall of Famer. Will probably be in the discussion for greatest ever.
Tom Brady has also had 4 more years in the league than Ben. Brady drafted 2000, Ben 2004. In those 4 years difference Ben and the Steelers have won 1 less SB than Tom Brady and the Patriots. I fail to see how Ben is so far beneath Brady. He hasn't the same individual accomplishments as Brady but in less time he's got one less SB victory attached to his name. Give Ben 4 years to catch up to Brady at this point and see what he has accomplished.
