We're tied for first place but I'm still saying no. OTOH I think the "2-4 win season" stuff can safely be called premature at this point.

Even with my recent thread I will not vote because its too early to declare something like this. Add the word hope or something like that and I would vote.
We are definitely better off now with the rest of the division. We could be 0-2 against 2 teams that could be 2-0.

I say no. I mean our schedule isn't brutal, and the AFC is not tough at all, a 9-7 team should definitely be a wild card. Could possibly see an 8-8 team make it, and we could be 8-8 if they win games like this. But I think the secondary is too weak.

A vote either way is taking things too far IMO

I'm not saying yes or no honestly. Our schedule is laughable and I don't think there is a single really good team in our division even including New England. Their roster is pretty laughably bad aside from Brady and their TE's.

exactly. Playoffs have more to do than any one team. You can switch 2 teams in 2 different divisions and playoff chances change.

One thing to keep an eye on is the trading deadline and Dwayne Bowe. He's a FA next season who has a fair chance of moving on from KC. It seems like they felt they had legitimate playoff hopes going into the year and wanted to keep him for that run, however they have started 0-2 and if they keep losing games they may decide to get value for Bowe while they can. With two seconds and two thirds we are a legitimate trading option.

Yep. that's who I thought we'd get right before the season started, but nothing happened. Bowe+Bess+Hartline+Fasano. I'm okay with that group. like you said, if/when KC keeps losing, Ireland should pull the trigger. offer a 3rd and a 6th, see if they bite.

No. Passing offense and Pass defense is just going to be dreadful this year.

If NE is dropping games to teams like AZ and the Bills and the Jets keep looking like the Bills and the Jets then I don't see why not.

    No.
I think next week against the Jets will be a better test than the Raiders, though. But no, we don't have the offensive playmakers to make the playoffs, nor the offensive line.

Also take into account most of the teams we play are not much better than Oakland. In fact I'd say most are slightly worse.

hehe... put up the same poll next week after the Jets game. Until then, way too early. Thus I'm not voting :tongue2:

A better poll would be whether or not fans think we have a chance at the the playoffs rather than a definite statement. Or maybe a "what percentage chance" poll with 0-25%, 26-50%, 50-75%, 75-100%.
