So Brady makes Edelman better...because of his YAC...? Gronk and Edelman are 8th (252) and 9th (250) in the league at YAC (both are right about 1/2 of their yards just from YAC), but Brady makes Edelman better...Landry's 12th (227)....does RT make him better? That's roughly a third of Brady's yards, just YAC from those two guys. Extrapolated over the 5400 yards expected, that's 1800 from YAC. I'd say Edelman's better than some think he is.
Looks like Tannehill can't do anything to get the Pats to stop focusing on shutting down the running game. And don't say it's because James is out. Here comes the 3/5 argument again. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yeah, there are no excuses for Tannehill this first half. He played half like crap and half like a game manager. His play wasn't due to bad play by a bunch of other offensive players. Anyway, it's just the first half. He's come back strong in the 2nd half of some games.. like that GB game. That's what we need now. We'll also see if Campbell can make good adjustments.
Yeah, it ain't happening. I correctly predicted Belichick would do all he could to shut down the run. I knew they'd try some play action and read option early to get them to back off. Except Tannehill hasn't pulled through at all. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I didn't vote but would've went No simply because I've learned this lesson years ago. After some wins because the Dolphins beat up on some bad teams that barely qualify as NFL worthy, don't go expecting them to suddenly beat the Pats in NE or any other playoff caliber team. Happens all the time. OR on the flipside, the pesky Dolphins will sometimes go and beat some good teams (think 2013 - Steelers and Patriots) and then choke it all away by losing to teams below them in the standings. Either way they're always just a tease.
We beat ourselves tonight and they took advantage. Just one game and just one season. Their asterisks won't go away. Neither will the absolute lack of respect the world has for them.
I've been saying that for 19 years and it still hasn't happened. We just stay mediocre, only drifting above that line slightly and temporarily. I don't think I am going to live long enough to see it happen.
lol Ill be surprised if they don't get trophy #5 I know people don't like the Patriots, but what we are witnessing may never ever be accomplished again Bill Belicheck is simply a very special coach. Arguably the best to ever coach the game. Although I am a phins fan I still can recognize and give credit where credit is due. And that is one hell of a football team
Okay Fin D, I tried the positive approach and it didn't seem to work. So I'm going back to looking at this team realistically and hope that they can fill all those glaring holes on defense and on the OL sometime in the next 4-5 years. They certainly haven't been able to fill them in the last 5 years.
