I have a Verizon dsl westell 5700 wireless router hooked up but wanted to get better signal strength so we got a Linksys e2500 to try and boost the signal. The linksys doesn't have a modem port (?) to plug the dsl line into. I have them hooked together right now but the Linksys doesn't allow internet access. What needs to be done?

First on a scale of 1 - 5 the router you bought is a 3. You should package it up and exchange it for a DSL antennea booster.

    http://www.amazon.com/Alfa-High-Gain-DPG-2000W-DWL-1000AP-DWL-1700AP/dp/B003ZWIM0K ($12.00)

These will boost your signal strength by 150% (depends on installation)

The router you just bought will replace the westell 5700. You don't hook them together. If you are looking to boost your signal you can try moving your router(Westell 5700) to the center of your house. of course you need to have a phone line located in that location. Anything that will degrade the signal try to get rid of. Try also putting the router up higher on top of furniture. If you are gonna replace the westell let me know and I can walk you thru setting it up.
