Tebow had a score 22 but Sam Bradford had a score of 36! Some lucky team is going to get a fine franchise Qb outta Bradford.

Pretty sure Marino scored a 15? No I'm not saying Tebow is/will be Marino, I'm just saying maybe it doesn't matter? Would be great to have sort of correlation graph between these scores and success in the NFL.Tin Indian likes this. -
if bradford checks out good he is going to end up with the rams
-
To pull that off would take a ridiculous 3D multi-axis dot graph. It would be a fun project, though. -
Well they did show that the current trend is that the average score for a QB playing for a superbowl winning team the last few years has been a 30+.
I think stats like this are totally unimportant when singled out though. A great throwing mechanic and vision can well make up for "smarts" Just like smarts and a good throwing mechanic can help make up for vision, etc.
When you fail at multiple aspects is when you can see a potential bust in the making. -
Tebow never really struck me as an intelligent person. Now i dont think he's dumb by any means, just around average.

Henne had the same score as Tebow...who knew?

dolfan7171 and k-bayfinfan like this.

I think the wonderlic is more of a guaging tool for teams to see how well the testee....( :shifty: )thinks and reacts (i.e. making good decisions as opposed to bad ones)under pressure. I dont think it is at all indicitive of there learning ability, capacity or the ability to play for that matter. Sometimes physical ability is all you need in this league. Good example of that would be Leon Lett. But then you see why sometimes you'd like the guy to make better decisions on the fly(i.e.Thanksgiving 1993).

Dan Marino got a 15 and was rumored to be a drug user.....luckily for us he fell to the bottom of the first round. We may have had Todd Blackledge or Tony Eason at QB.
-
As for the Wonderlic, it doesn't have the capacity to show the ability to learn, it only measures thinking ability at the time of the test, not learning capacity.k-bayfinfan and dolfan7171 like this. -

Alex Smith (San Fran) got a perfect score, right? I know it was very high. Point is, he sucks.
The wonderlic score is irrelevant in every way. -

Explain this to me please
How does Tebow do poorly on this test when he is in the Doctorate program at Flordia. Now don't go saying it's a joke of a program because at all schools for this program they haave similiar courses of studies. I'm jst saying..... I'm curious unless the test was based off of certain questions pertaining to the NFL -

Needless to say, I hate the Gators and everything involving them.
Can't wait for Tebow to flop in the pros. -
Drew Henson had a 42 ,Dan Marino had a 16 .
It is a relevant item but obviously you cannot predict success or failure with it. -
I hate the Gators and I don't think Tebow will do anything in the NFL really, but there's only one thing the WL is good for, if a player scores ridiculously low, more often then not I will stay away from that person in a position that needs smarts.
Also on that note, watching interviews from Tewbow, I've always thought he wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed. Not saying he's dumb, just not smart, that's for sure. -
The Wonderlic questions are not hard by any means, nor are they based on intelligence. They're questions designed to make you read all the way through, and focus. So they're tricky, so to speak. They're also timed. This is really the key.
Here's a couple of sample questions, just so you can get an idea:
So basically, if you get a 22 or lower, your reading comprehension isn't great. Or, could be Tebow is a crappy test taker.
