That sucks!! too bad he got caught!! I think that would have been hilarious had the built the entire stadium, the jersey stayed there and it didnt ever get mentioned until 15-20 years later. damn yankees deserve a curse!

 

I love it. It's all over the news and papers up here and they're even talking about possibly filing charges against the construction worker who is, coincidentally, a huge Red Sox fan from the Bronx, and who intentionally (they believe) buried it there. How ironic is that.

 

Oh, please. Who cares? Enough of this overrated rivalry between two perennially annoying teams of the two most annoying sports towns in the country. (Philthadelphia is right up there with them, by the way.)

Very true Rocky. In attempting to explain the rivalry between the Bosox-Yankees to my husband this morning, I could only liken it to the rivalry between the Dolphins and Jets.

 

Personally I think it was dumb that the Yankees actually spend 4 and a half hours trying to dig it out. Honestly who cares if it's there or not.

And for everyone knocking the Sox/Yankee rivalry I completely understand that you'd get sick of it if you weren't a Sox or Yankee fan but trust me people would kill to have the kind of rivalry that the Sox or Yankees have with each other.

There is a difference between "friendly" smack between real friends and the kind of smack that is intended to piss off other fans. Let's remember that fans are passionate about their teams and feelings do get hurt. Some fans are as sensitive about their teams as some people are about their kids or spouses.
