I am looking for a new-er WWII game to play. I remember loving the **** out of the Medal of Honor series, beating all of them multiple times. With the recent vampire/zombie craze, I don't recall any World War II games released. Can anybody recommend one? Just simple FPS game...that is not World at War lol I really enjoy WWII era games, but it just seems that the industry has moved away from this theater.

Heroes and Generals. Free to play FPS/RTS/MMO. Haven't played it. Friends have and enjoyed it. Google/Youtube it. It has just been recently released.
If you have no problems with RTS, do go for Company of Heroes, and its associated expansions. Absolutely fascinating gameplay, with quite acceptable graphics and AI. CoH 2 releases this June, and its 'revolutionary' in every sense of the word.
Why not operational level games? Matrix Games has a multitude of them.. my favorite is War in the Pacific: Admiral's Edition. But, it is not for the I want to shoot somebody NOW gamer. In fact, it is more strategy on a global scale. HPS Sims has some good company level games in which you can play D-Day, Battle of the Bulge, something in Russia if you really want to get bogged down, etc., etc.
