Mike wallace is a restricted free agent meaning he can be signed to an offer sheet and if the steelers don't match he would cost a first round pick.Personally I don't think we could afford him but
imagine hopefully a healthy manning(I know they are going to sign him and I have not been pro manning because of his health I hope I am wrong)and mike wallace to pair with marshall. That is a scary combo. In the real world watch the pats get wallace with the 31st pick.

He was given a first round tender? Even if he was its not automatic that they would receive a first, the teams could always mediate the situation and come up with their own value vis a vis the trading of draft choices.
-
It'll take a hell of a contract along with a first rounder to get him. Any team with cap room and a low first rounder should look into it.

yes

1. Trade down to the Bengals #17 and #21 spots (maybe they are targeting Trent Richardson or DreK???)
2. Trade #17 to the Giants for #32, #128, and 2013 first round pick (idk why the Giants would want to trade up to 17, but just go with it)
3. Use #32 to bid on Mike Wallace
4. Draft Cordy Glenn at #21
5. Draft Vinny Curry in the 2nd
6. Draft Brock Osweiler in the 3rd
7. Sign Anthony Collins
8. Sign Peyton Manning

I like the idea of trading down and then maybe using the 1st rounder. No way would I give a fat contract and 8th overall!
-
Absolutely not. I would rather the Dolphins draft Trent Richardson with their first round pick than trade it for Wallace. Richardson would be a far more productive addition to the Dolphins offense than Wallace would ever be.

How does the system work? Say a team has two first rounders, how do they determine which is lost? If it's the lower of the two, I can see the Browns signing him. They really have no one at WR and a lot of holes to fill. A young guaranteed solid receiver would give them a good situation with another first round pick to use. If they go out and get Flynn, they have a lot of choices with their other first.

Just looking at how successful Green Bay's offense was, without a player quite like Wallace - I supposed Greg Jennings is somewhat similar - it seems quite superfluous to use a 1st round pick on him, when there's no long-term solution at QB. That, and there's far more important pieces the Dolphins also need than another WR.

I saw we take him and sign Flynn, our receiving core would be better the. GB i wouldn't give the 8th but I'd sure as hell pick up a second in the process

I think a better question would be, "Would you trade down with the Steelers for Mike Wallace?"
-
If we would have drafted Wallace and stayed away from Pat White.... And developed a QB. That we drafted.
Instead we sat on our hands and drafted Turner at 87. Wallace went at 84.Killer Bees likes this. -
Hes not worth both the huge contract and the 1st round pick hes a legit speed wr but for a mostly purely speed guy that's a lot to give up

I think it has good value.... IF. -
At least he plays feckin' offense, right?...but nah, he's a fringe player that we already drafted last year. Steelers always be tryin' to victimize a sucka.

He's a player that would be worth looking at if we were picking in the bottom half of the first round but if we traded #8 for him I'd think we have a dumb front office.

i' m absolutely positive New England will make a play for him, they need a deep threat, pick very late in the 1st round, just makes to much sense for them
