Tony Dungy says that he is going to kick to him but try to send it high and make Hester move to catch it.
So if you are a head coach, Do you kick to Hester or not? Are you squib kicking it, Kicking out of bounds, or trying to boot it out of the back of the endzone?
For me, on punts I am trying to angle it at least towards the sidelines and probably going for the coffin corner. On kickoffs, a lot depends on your coverage team. I don't like the idea of kicking it out of bounds because playing scared is usually not a good idea. You do have to Respect what Hester can do though. I would kick it deep and dare him to beat me until he got warmed up. Once he looks ready to break one though, I start squibbing and hope a linebacker or tight end ends up with it

I kick to him all the time........in Madden. He gets nothing with my Dolphins ST.

Id kick to him if we played the bears this year... then id send boomer grigsby down there to take his head off
Jackson likes this. -
But seriously, you CAN kick to him as long as your ST units are disciplined, and you make him move and pin him to the sideline. Boot it down the middle and your asking for trouble. -
I would because more often than not he does not do anything special with the ball and by kicking away you would give them consistenly good field position by virtue of potential.

Eh Id still take my chances with Hester. With a crappy O why would you want to give them the chance of starting at the 40 every time. They only need like 30-40 yards to get a FG. A bad offensive day from you and enough FGs will win it for them.
Hester isnt returning a kick a game, and he puts the ball on the floor as much as he scores, no reason NOT to kick it to him imo.
But then, its also situational. Would I kick it to him with the time almost gone in either half? Hell no! In the 4th if im not a TD ahead? No, I wouldnt. But just to give them good position everytime is silly.
I also have to wonder if playing WR alot will hurt him in the return game. Not to mention, most great returners have 1-2 great years, not 3-4. We will see. -

Maybe postpone the career as a stand-up comic until the jokes are funny. -
