Would you trade Brandon Marshall for Michael Vick?

If you look at the receivers on the Eagles. You would see that they have no need for Marshall. So whether I would trade Vick for Marshall is irrelevant. Because the Eagles would never make that trade to begin with. I suspect that the Eagles will sign Vick to a long term contract and the Eagle QB on the block is going to be Kevin Kolb. So the question should be. Should the Dolphins trade their first round draft pick for Kolb?

first off, if he is a FA we dont need to trade for him and secondly eagles arent getting rid of him.

Henne played a poor game, but he didn't throw a pick. Thats some kind of improvement for me.

If that were to happen, I wouldn't watch a game or purchase any fins merchandise until Vick is off the team.

NO.... I wouldn't trade Marshall for Vick.

You'd have Vick with no downfield threat to give him space to do anything with.
Vick is playing great b/c of the offense & system he's in (He has ALL the tools he needs to thrive!)

I couldn't imagine how bad Vick would look with only Bess, Fasano, Hartline, Moore, and Wallace to throw to and no ground game to help him out.

If he comes here, he says bye bye to his vertical threats that he loves so much. He says bye bye to having WRs and RB running free all around the field. He says bye bye to his better TE. He says bye bye to dumping it off to McCoy. He says bye bye to all his running room with no Jackson & Maclin stretching a defense thin up front.

Vick would NOT look like the Vick of Philly here.

Even though he'd be worse off here, it would be silly not to do such a trade. I'm surprised it's a topic of debate.

Anytime you can trade an under performing WR for a potential MVP QB, it is a coup.

Its so cute to see the Vick man-love that's going on.

Andy Reid's system made Doug Pederson, Mike McMahon and AJ Feely look good. He consistently puts a very good offense together regardless of player turnover. Andy is super aggressive and would have them throwing every down if he could.

I am not a Henne lover, or hater. I think he has had some good plays and has been given ample opportunity show what he has, but it has not been in his favor. I like every quality that this kid has to offer us but the winds of change must blow through Miami and the sooner the better. Unless something changes neither Henne, or Henning will be back next year, and that won't hurt my feelings at all. We should have scored 20 points on the JETS but blew all of the opportunities.

I also think that Sporano is making a huge mistake not alternating in Thigpen. It would take the pressure of Chad, give our back up some much needed play time and really disrupt the defense. Not seeing this as a Head Coach is a painful reminder that Sporano can't see past the offensive line that he grew up coaching. To ensure the fact that Thigpen is a little more relaxed on the field in case Henne gets hurt Tyler should be playing in every game if only a handful of snaps.

Last off season we went through the defense, this year it needs to be the offense, and personally I would fire Tony Sporano too. This team has all of the base talent that we need but must get a new structure / system in place. The offense lacks identity and energy and has for most of the year. A new coach with a track record of winning the big game could turn this team into a winner is no time. The necessary fix is bigger than Henne or Henning - it needs to start at the top. Sporano should be a head coach at the college level and has no business being a head coach in the NFL, not yet anyway.

You would have to be smoking crack not to take this trade, if it were available...Vick is playing better than ever, and he would attract a ton of free agents were he to play down here.

We wont even go after playmakers in the draft the past 3 years for the guys we currently have. What makes you think we'll go after them with Vick? He's not coming here. He doesn't fit the mold of what this regime looks for. Our entire offense would have to be abandoned outside of Marshall and Long if we brought Vick in here.

Skillset? He throws the ball in terror, throws INT's, fumbles, under throws receivers, throw behind receivers, and can't read or react to a broken play. This guy leading our offense is a train wreck.

It's easy to hit a 4.3 WR when there's no one within 10 yards of him.... it's easy to hit a back for 5 yards and watch him scamper for 50..... and it's easy for Vick to run for 20 when a defense is spread out all over the field and deeper in coverage. :shifty:.... Just sayin.

Agreed. Some people are so focused on blaming Henne for everything that they can see nothing else. I also question how good Vick would be without Andy Reid. IMO Reid may be the best in the league at putting his QBs in position to succeed. So an AJ Feeley can look good in Philly and look like a third stringer everywhere else. I think Vick is talented, but if you trade for him you probably aren't getting the MVP candidate you'd be paying for. Then you add in the fact that as a smallish running QB he takes so many more hits and you may end up over paying for a QB who not only isn't as good as advertised but also spends an inordinate amount of the time on injured reserve.

First off I hated Saban for bringing his douch of a little brother on the roster and infuriated me that he officially took one snap on the field as a Miami Dolphin so you can only imagine the contempt I have for Michael Vick. Why don't we just throw it all out the window and hire that cheating ass Belicheck to come and coach our team? I really have an issue with individuals that tarnish this franchise. I take pride in supporting an honest club of individuals that appreciate the fact that they have the privelage to play a childs game for insane amounts of money. It's sad that *******s like Vick are media darlings, yet the real honorable men of the league like a Warrick Dunn who has put over 100 single mothers in homes out of his own pocket are just a page 4 story. This league and society in general have it all ass backwards.

It's the gift that keeps on giving.

In a lot of the 'good-ole-boy' southern states dog fighting was something they did for more than 100 years, much like eating crawfish. It was part of some cultures. They grew up with it and it was such common place they didn't even view it as bad, but times and attitudes change. I think what Vick did was deplorable. I also think that he deserved every inch of what he got, but justice and his sentence was served and it is godly to forgive. I worship the creator - and not his creations. Let him explain his actions to G-d, it is not up to us to judge him. I only judge the score board and he would certainly help the score.

Wow! I only posted this as a hypothetical question and had no idea this thread would live this long. I was just curious to know if we would swap talent for talent but man this debate has really grown legs. Don't take it seriously gang, it wasn't meant for that.

Henne has improved some since this thread started. He has a long way to go but this hypothetical question may not even be a valid one anymore. I think the first coach that should be replaced is the QB coach. He is not compatible for Henne's style. Henne is not a one dimensional QB and David Lee is trying to turn him into one.
