My wife and I want to start playing. We have 2 Macs. Do we have to buy two versions and pay two subscriptions? I can't find the answer on the Blizzard site, and I hate calling tech support.

Any help would be great appreciated. Thanks.

I believe so, in both cases. (well maybe not if you don't play at the same time, because I think you can have like 5 builds on the same account or something).

if you both want to play at the same time yes you have two buy the game twice and pay for 2 subscriptions. You can share an account though if you both live in the same house, you just can't play at the same time.

Thanks guys, that's what i figured. We will be playing at the same time.

What is the monthly subscription fee anyway? I didn;t see that anywhere either.

Not sure what the monthly fee is ($8?), but I am pretty sure you can buy multiple months (maybe a year?) for a slight discount.

Try Guild Wars. Far better game, no monthly script.

I would say guild wars gameplay but the community and the fact of meeting people in the middle of fighting is non existent because of how they setup their servers. Although its free which is a plus but for guild wars I am going to wait for guild wars 2 before I buy anything with that name.

As for warcraft its about 15$ a month to play, and yea like someone said above need 2 games and their own subscription each. I know a few couples who play together and they seem to enjoy it.

Warcraft is a blast if you got right people to play with, I have a few good friends on there and I have a lot of fun playing with them. I was getting bored until I found this guild and the people I play with.

GW is a good alternative, but nowhere near the depth of WoW. I've played both extensively and prefer WoW. I have a top level character in GW and love it too. I guess it comes down to play style.

Agreed, I was reading on guild wars 2. Its going to remain free but adding the open world like in warcraft. That should be very interesting. I guess also adding events that happen in the world you can assist with. They seem to be remaking guild wars to fit the warcraft players. So I am hoping for more depth in the sequel.

I like the fact that you don't run into people outside of the towns. You have a little control over what you encounter in combat. Plus my Pyromage is da bomb!

See im opposite I guess, so obviously its a preference thing. I have probably made more friends trying to beat something myself then someone runs up to help me over sitting in stormwind or what not.

So yea its a preference thing, both games are very good just suited for different players.

Not yet, just small specs and details on what they are trying to accomplish. There has been nothing more than a splash screen on it so far. They were going to make it a expansion then realized how much they are changing and decided to make it a sequel.

Guild Wars 2 - Guild Wars Wiki (GWW)

    Thats current info on it.

Big time, I was fortunate to join a Guild that my brother in law was a part of when I joined. Good group of folks all 30+ in age, like myself (I'm not really 4) and they helped ease me into the game.

I wish I had friends to do some of the high level PVE stuff with. Nobody I know plays GW anymore. And I never really got to do any of the lvl 20 stuff. I'd really like to get back into it.

It's been well over a year since I've played. I booted it the oher night to make sure I had it all patched up (dunno why). It'd take me a day or so to get reacquainted with the battle system, the cities, and what is what and who is who. I know my guy is in Temple of something. And there's a crap load of 20's there.

Everyone's a 20 these days. I started playing about the time you quit, and found this to be an answer to my Diablo withdrawals. I usually sign on for a few hours around 10pm, my character name is Faethor Blackhand, hit me with a message if you wanna run some missions.

i still think they should raise the cap to 25 (maybe 30). It'd rejuvinate the game for a lot of people. Or maybe if they had done that with the Eye of the North expansion. Did you get EotN? I didn't... I wanted to, but again, nobody to play with.

EOTN rocks. Great expansion. The lvl 20 cap did bug me, but this game relies more on proper skill usage than creating the uber character.

I'll look for ya bro.
