Miami Dolphins wide receiver Davone Bess is seeking to press charges against someone who was impersonating him on a Twitter site. Bess says that the Twitter feeds that were made in his name by “LamboWeezy” have no connection to him, and Bess’ agent, Kenny Zuckerman, has alerted the authorities to the incident.

I can't understand why anyone would want to do this to someone. They must have no life and very bitter.

I don't think anyone is going to argue that claiming he ran a 4.2 40 is defamation, so no charges there :D

If anything it was PR lol

lol. I got the link and followed for a while. It was pretty obvious the guy was an imposter because he wouldn't answer any direct questions and all he did was talk about partying. Even if an NFL star is partying that much, it seemed unlikely they'd be so publicly candid.

I think Davone Bess should worry about the upcoming season and not what someone does on Twitter.

    Its over, move on.

You're an NFL player, you're rich enough. Focus on Football.

It's a form of identity theft. I know I wouldnt like it if someone was pretending to be me, especially if I was famous.

I don't think anyone on the Dolphins is 'worried' about the upcoming season :wink2:

They should be. They needed a tiebreaker to take the division from a Brady-less New England team.

The Dolphins, Jets & Bills should be spending every waking moment worrying about beating New England. A team with better talent than the 2007 squad.

Nothing is given. Just because you were 11-5 last year doesn't mean you'll be 11-5 again.

You, and all Miami fans, should know better than me and everyone else how quickly things change in the NFL.

And people, please.. PLEASE with this identity theft crap. He didn't steal any credit cards or money or anything like that and make his name Davone Bess. All he did was sign up on the joke of the website that is Twitter.com and make an *** of himself. Bess & his agent took care of the account, move on.

Fake accounts happen all the time on Twitter, Facebook, etc. I agree with the Jets fan on this one (On the Twitter stuff, not the Patriots boner). It's not something Bess should be worried about. If anything he should be flattered someone cares enough to imitate him.

Or a team that went 1-15 in 2007, with a QB who barely had two weeks in the pre-season to work with his new team, with an interior of an offensive line that featured guys named Alleman and Ndukwe, went 11-5 in 2008

You said it yourself, change does happen. But you seem to be convinced New England is immune.

There change was having a down year. It happened last year. Brady is back. It isn't happening again. People who want to think Brady and the Pats are done will get a reality check soon enough.

People who also think that the rest of the division isn't going to be competitive against the Patriots need a reality check.

What if Brady goes down again?

What if Brady's knee injury affects his game in a negative way?

What if a few star players get banged up?

What if the Jets, Dolphins, or Bills come out this season much better than advertised?

Too much can happen to swing a teams fortune one way or the other. I think it's too soon to be giving the Pats oral sexual favors just yet 124.

If you think the spread offense is going to catch people off guard this season you are wrong. We are ready for it. I'm not saying they will have a bad year, but to think they are destined for 13+ wins is ridiculous.

So are you a Jets fan or a Patriots fan? I know Patriots fans who don't have as big a stiffy as you seem to have for the Patsies.

11-5 is a down year? That's pretty good if you ask me. They seemed to do alright with Cassel behind center last year. We just happened to earn a tie break last season that in years past we would have not.
