We’ve been flooded today with e-mails from PFT Planeteers in Philly asking about Internet reports (man, I hate those) that the Eagles have inked Oklahoma State receiver Adarius Bowman.
Per a league source with knowledge of the situation, the Eagles have not signed Bowman. We’re also told that they will not sign him.
Bowman was expected to be a first-day draft pick. An April 14 guilty plea to marijuana possession hurt him, and he ultimately wasn’t drafted.

His stone hands also dropped his stock a lot. He couldn't catch a cold during the Senior Bowl...
-
What a fall Bowman has had. Had a lot of promise considering his size, leaping ability, and reliable hands.
-
That sucks for him. From potential 2nd around pick to un-drafted, and still unsigned... damn.
-
Really disapointed in him. I thougth he was going to be a hell of a player. The guy show talent at OSU, averaging 17 YPC at an average of 63 grabs a year. He also put up about a average of 1000 yards the last two years including one impressive game against Aqib Talib, now of the Buccaneers. He put up 300 yards and 4 touchdowns on him. Now, look at him.
-
Is it all because his slow 40 time?
-
And legal issues. This is a guy who had TO and Randy Moss written all over him. Only now, it's the bad parts of TO and Moss.alen1 likes this.

Plus he can't catch. Though I'm a bit surprised no one has signed him yet.
-
That I found peculiar because in the real deal, he sure catches everything.
If there's a team looking for a nice big playmaking WR and is willing to give him a pass on his transgressions as well as give him enough time to get his confidence up, they'll have a real steal. I actually hope it's us because Parcells loves those big strong WR's and has already given passes to Kircus and Lymon. If Bowman can get a roster spot and stay healthy, I'd nominate him as a future Marques Colston candidate.alen1 likes this. -
I agree. I think if we can give Kircus another chance who I believie had domestic violence charges, than we should give Bowman a chance. Hes a big receiver like you said, standing at 6'4 220 and despite his struggles receiving at the all star game, I think hes not that bad of a receiver. Whoever gets him will deffinitely get a steal if they can get his head out of his ***.Regan21286 likes this.

Problem with Bowman is his hands though.
-
Somehow it came out of nowhere as he had very steady and reliable hands in college.alen1 likes this.

Undrafted Oklahoma State WR Adarius Bowman remains unsigned.
Internet reports last week indicated that the Eagles signed Bowman to a rookie deal, but that turned out to be false. Bowman, who was arrested and pled guilty in April to marijuana possession, may have to try another league.

So did Derek Hagan....
-
But not like Bowman's ability to make circus catches. And one thing I found out was that he was legally blind yet still produced. Hagan was noted early on to be too much of a body-catcher, which is a huge reason why he's doing poorly in this league. Bowman doesn't use his body to catch as often as Hagan.
-
So he is like Chris Chambers only without the speed?
Maybe the fact he is legally blind is a reason why isn't on a team. -
He's got great size and leaping ability. Chambers doesn't have size on him.
The only reason he's not on a team is because of his issues with marijuana.
He did. I believe it was fixed later on. And yet he still managed 1000 yards receiving. -
Lets not use Weed as an excuse. I bet 60% of the NFL smoke Weed.
-
Perhaps, but when someone is shown to have a history of it, then the GM's start backing off.
-
Manningham had a history of smoking weed and even lied to GM's and he went in the 3rd round. So there is more to it than has been let on.
-
Manningham wowed scouts with his senior year. Bowman has actually been sentenced to a year hard-time.
