Surprising, thought some good football folks here liked his game..message sending?

That is surprising, thought he would have at least made it to camp.

Really thought he'd make it further. I guess Moore, Pruitt, and Wallace are actually showing something. One would think if they weren't, as holdovers of the old regime they would be out first. Or maybe Moye just didn't show what he needed to.
-
Interesting they'd bring in another FB after just signing Lane. So we have Clay, Lane, Mahaffey, and possibly Messam that could all play it? Obviously Clay's versatile enough to play multiple spots, but I just find it interesting, especially with Ovie Mughelli still out there.

The reality is the Dolphins didn't give Moye much of a chance by cutting him before he could strap the pads on and show what he could do in that environment. Padless OTAs were never going to be his venue. If they'd let him come to training camp then I think he would have been able to show that he can get off the press better than most young receivers, especially amongst the bigger guys. As a big guy, I think he was overshadowed a bit by Jeff Fuller who is more explosive and also has the ability to get off the press.

I'd suspect he was dropping to many passes in ota's

Wallace gets love because of his pure size and speed combination, which is what I've seen cited by the player(s) that mention him.
Having a wide receiver unit where the likes of Roberto Wallace and Legedu Naanee get a large portion of the praise is exactly why Jeff Ireland reached out in desperation for Chad OchoCinco. -
such a shame... hope he gets a shot somewhere soon.

Little surprised to see us do that before theyve even put the pads on and had an actual practice, but hmm... it is what it is I guess. Im sure there's a reason, guess he wasnt getting in done in OTA's so far.

Just goes to show Joe is serious about all the pass catchers catching rather than dropping passes! I read somewhere that Mr. Gates is also on this hot seat.

One day you're getting praise. The next you're getting cut. Welcome to the NFL. Good luck, Derek.

Absolutely Km, I've said that getting him in undrafted free agency was a real nice get..I say that because when I watched him on tape, I saw a certain type of confidence when he went up against top competition, and for an undrafted free agent, at that size, it was a good swagger.

As suspected, Rishard Matthews assumes Moye's #86.

Oh Moye!

Terence Brown probably not in shape enough to be taken seriously, even though he is pretty athletic and moves well. Coaches aren't going to want to put pillowy dough boys in front of the Hard Knocks cameras.
On the other hand, Zach Thomas was notoriously chided by teammates for his physique as a rookie...until hitting started. -
One of the more interesting facets to all of this is the 3 holdover Wr's, Pruitt, Wallace and Moore, are out of practice squad options.
Which means it is move up, or move out for them, with Fuller, Matthews, Hogan and Cunningham effectively vying for their old PS slots at a minimum, so far Wallace is making the most noise all 3 are good ST gunners as well. -
Not sure about Marlon Moore, who flashes but has poor hands. -

FYI the Saints picked Moye off waivers and cut one of their own WR prospects.

hard to argue with, making the catch is much more important than YAC in the WCO where moving the chains is more important. The size helps a WR make the catch but not necessarily always get the big YAC.
