For whatever reason I'm having a problem with my disk tray getting stuck. I'm guessing it has something to do with the top of the disk drive because when I unscrew it and lift it up a bit, the disk tray slides out just fine. Any ideas?

Depends on the drive, but yes the right usually. I'd force open while powered on to see if it opens or gets jammed. If it's jammed, you need to do open heart meng

It's a BenQ. Already performed open heart on it to get it to even open up at all. Now it opens, just not with the top of the drive on it.

Well, beat the **** out of it. Opens now. Unfortunately now I'm getting Open Tray errors. Well was getting them before, but only with Madden. Now none of my games are working. Man do I have the worst luck with DVD drives... Just gonna buy a new 360 this time. Have had this thing for 4 years now with the only problem being a bad DVD drive that cost 15 bucks to repair. I think it's time for a new one.

This used to happen to my old xbox. When ever a disc wasn't in the tray it would get stuck so I would have to pry the f***** open with a knife. Buuut that Xbox got the RROD (SUPRISE!) and now I got a new Xbox with a fully functional disc tray :yes:.

Yea, don't know what it's problem was. Either way, had that 360 for 4 years with no real problems. Figured it was time to get a new one.
