So, I've never had a lag problem before. Now I'm lagging ridiculously bad. Just started this weekend. Was playing Modern Warfare 2. At first it was just a bad lag for the first few seconds of a match, then it started lagging throughout the whole game, and now it's so bad I can't even join a game. I'm getting 7-8 times the ping using XBL that I am just using the regular internet according to tests I ran.

This is not happening when I hook up XBL straight through the modem. Only through my Router, which is wired as well. For what it's worth, the aside from XBL, the router has 2 desktops (both wired) to it. I'm using a Linksys WRT54GS2 router. Any advice would be great.

 

Went ahead and opened my NAT ports. Will try MW2 in a little bit to see if there's a change.

 

Seems totally back to normal after owning some peeps on S&D. Weird.

 

Did seems to be better. Weird considering I've had XBL for 3 years and never had a lag problem beforehand.

 

I certainly noticed that. Horrible noob tube glitch now.

 

Perhaps it was just the MW2 then.
