http://sports.espn.go.com/new-york/nfl/news/story?id=5816234 I blame the father for making his son a Jets fan.
Said the little boy, "I never thought a grown up would tackle me like that. I had only been to one other game and that was in Miami. Their fans yelled mean things at me too, but when I got in their face, they ran like a bunch of scared pu$$ies. Why can't all fans be pansies like that?"
While I'm sure the dad was looking out for his kid when this happened he's still a puss. He should have taken his kid to the car, had him locked the door, gave him the cell, pulled out the tire iron and ****ed those guys up.
God I hate some Browns fans. They tried to clean up the behavior at the stadium and fans FREAKED out saying it was their right to act like that. If you are in opposing teams' colors you might as well not show up. They'll either shower you in beer or pick a fight in the 1st quarter.
Asik might guard the pick and roll better than anyone else on our team right now. That is really the biggest thing that he brings to the table. It's really going to be interesting to see how minutes fall out when Boozer gets back. Generally speaking over the past 4 games Bogans, Brewer, Asik, Gibson and Korver have all played very well in their roles. Watson has improved from the way he started the season as well. Unfortunately playing all of them gives us a 10 man rotation with Deng/Rose/Noah all likely averaging 35+ minutes. For awhile I assumed that Asik would be the guy losing minutes and becoming a bit minute player around 5 per game when Boozer gets back, at this point, it might be Taj.
DR, you're lucky you're still here despite not posting something like that. We know Bick's only joking so he gets a free shot once in a while.
Touche' Mr. Ed. I knew there was a reason you sounded more evolved than the rest of Jet nation...... you're a horse. .........
Two things about this story - 1. The dad is a huge *****. Who doesn't defend his 8 year old son after getting tackled? 2. Agree with Gardenhead. Kid had it coming.
In all seriousness, as a father, I would have went batsh!t nuts. They would have had to beat me unconscious. No way do I let someone lay a hand on my kid. Totally unnacceptable. I may have gotten my *** kicked, but they would have known they were in a fight.
People are missing the real issue here. It wasn't helmet to helmet therefore it was legal. /End Thread
But if the Father attacks the guy - a bunch of people who didn't see the incident are just going to see a Jets fan attack a Browns fan. Then he has a whole mob of people coming after him and he is putting his son in even more danger. Think about the situation - there are 70,000 people in that stadium - how many are on his team?
True would have been better anyways if the guy who did the tackling ended up in lockup for assault on a minor.
This story is like deja vu for me. I grew up in the NY area, and this reminds me of my experiences attending the Jets-Dolphins games at Shea Stadium as a yute. This is why I have always hated the Jets.
I'm sorry you had a bad experience. There are a-holes everywhere. It blows my mind that an adult would engage a kid, even in jest. Unacceptable.
Considering the abnormally large cranium that most Jet fans have, the poor guy probably thought he was tackling a midget....... and midget tackling is widely accepted..... especially Jets midgets..... I mean little people.
