His WPA was dropping these past weeks, but he got a nice boost tonight

Great win, gutsy win. I will agree that Sherman is still a major issue as is 3rd and long. Those two things are beyond ridiculous.

Did you even watch this game? Scared to score points? We hardly even had the ball in the second half! Wow...

It's just unreal. No second guessing during the Aaron Dobson pushoff, Dimitri Patterson jam, or OV recovery during the Pats game. But an extensive look at our game-winning safety, featuring Blandino, and doubt on the Hartline catch, which was close but for sure was a catch.

Ugly win for sure, but we will take it. I don't get how some say RT sucks, I think if he has some time back there he will make better decisions. We really have to wait till they get a decent O line before we can hold RT to the fire. Is it me, or does our D give up a ridiculous amount of 3rd and longs?

We just had two games where we went away from the run in an attempt to score more points, and the fans gripe. This game, we stuck with the run. When you are running the ball, it is harder to score. Plus, our offense hardly had the ball at all in the third quarter.

Personally I thought Sherman call a pretty darn good game tonight... Coyles 3rd down D is a much bigger problem... or at least it was tonight. Had the D gotten itself off the field on third downs tonight, the offense probably could have scored alot more than it did .

The OPI call on Hartline was as bad as it gets too. Took away a needed first down, and put our exhausted defense back on the field too soon. I think that call pissed me off more than anything else in the game.

I'd prefer them do more FB dives with Clay than those damn smash plays (or whatever you call them) with Thomas.

I saw a slew of TO's made by the D, which included a game winning safety. I saw a great running game by Miller, with a key turnover, but lots of upside. I saw Wallace burn the way he was supposed to and get the call. I saw RT check in to that play and make the throw. I saw no turnovers by RT. I saw BH get a key catch to set up a FG. I saw the kicker redeem himself by hitting the kick to get them to OT. Did I see a perfect game? No. And the last "PERFECT GAME" was when the Phins raped NE in the Wildcat game. But I'll take this over that. They held on, came back back and won. Miller doesn't fumble and the game may not have even become what it was. What the team did that it hasn't for 4 weeks is overcome mistakes & bad calls. Exactly what the **** where you watching?

However, Thomas came into this game rating 10th in the league in yards after contact average among running backs who have received at least 25% of the rushing attempts.

It's not like we weren't gonna win it on the following 4th & forever punt from their own goal line. If he even gets it off it's likely in immediate FG range.

The non DPI call on the later drive upset me more, as it came after that first ludicrous call on Hartline. .

All of the important no-calls or penalties called on our offense OR defense seem to happen most often on 3rd down.

I love to stick around here after games, especially wins and talk about it, but when dealing with stupid statements like his, its really discouraging, makes it not worth it, especially when I have to work at 8am, and its already 1230am  I don't know how you guys, the ones that people really look to for the knowledge around here can deal with it

You know what's amazing, Ryan didn't tuck and run the ball once...he didn't roll out once, either left or right...didn't do either....once..and we still won....blown away....

Most of that is just on a couple of specific plays though isnt it? Last weeks game he was impressive to me, this week, not even close. It's more the rarity, than it is the norm for him isnt it to gain yards after contact? It sure seems that way

Yes he did roll out, and he got rid of it before James Harrison sacked him. I can't remember if it was to DT or Egnew, but pretty sure it was Egnew.

With his scrambles, roll-outs, and sneaks.....he is becoming a complete package. Franchise QB, no question.

Nice no call on the block in the back against Trusnik in the backfield on Bernard's big run.

It's actually been very consistent. I'll have to see what his numbers were in this game, but in the previous 7 games, Daniel averaged right at 3.0 yards after contact per rush in 4 of them.

I thought that at first too, but it seemed the block was more in the side, it also seemed to me more that Trusnik gave up on the play.

Oh STFU Marvin Lewis. Quit whining about the safety. How 'bout instead more-appropriately whining about how you couldn't stop Wake.

saying "if miller never fumbled" doesn't change the FACT that he fumbled. i don't know what YOU were watching, but the game i watched (CINvsMIA), our QB kept failing to bring us a W. our offense was GARBAGE and got bailed out by cam wake and grimes. our defense, outside of the pick 6 and walk off safety, was GARBAGE and kept missing tackles / giving up 3rd and longs. these things are the usual every game for the past several weeks. its about time someone on defense said "forget depending on our piss poor offense to win us games, WE gotta go out there and WIN it for ourselves." thank god for cam wake!

anyway, being on this forum again really makes me see just how bad you homers are.

They stopped Wake alot, but holding him, and getting away with it repeatedly... but I suppose he doesn't want to talk about that.
