Could anyone, someone, sneak into Andre Johnson's hotel room and sever his hamstring 3 inches above the knee with their Barlow Knife? Everytime he tried to make a cut, he'd fall flat on his face. I'd like our chances pretty well then. Also, Nolan needs to keep the bong put away and out of reach when he is writing out his defensive game plan. No peppermint schnapps allowed into the coach's booth either.

I wanna watch the matchup with Henne and Shaub, a QB that iam not that fond of.

Can we get pressure this week? And turn that pressure into turn overs?

That's the two big questions for me. If we can do that it will compensate for Johnson. He's going to get his, we just need to take advantage of our own big play opportunities.

 

Kinda funny you mention that... one of the guys that was getting beat most of the game was also the only guy that made a big play and caused a turnover. I'm not saying Benny should have been retained, cause he shouldn't have even made the roster. However, he was the only one that caused a turnover. He took too many risks, but one of them paid off. Hopefully with Will Allen back the defense will be in the correct position to have more opportunities to make those types of plays. If heaven forbid Davis and Smith are on the sidelines again.

 

Yeah, Johnson is the uncontrolled volcano spewing CO2 into the atmosphere in an attempt to control emissions. He's the Fukushima of Global radiation. The Federal Reserve of global banking. The flouride in the water, so to speak. The ... well, you get the point (the Patriot Act of US legislation...)

Someone in the Miami area should disguise themselves as a member of the Texans training staff, get into the locker room and replace Johnson's IV bag with a molasses IV. Then when he tries to run, pretty soon his body will move as slow as molasses. I know when I didn't move across those side hills fast enough, I was told I was slower than molasses in January. So it has gotta slow a fella down a little.

 

I dunno man. I think the biggest Dolphins fan everyday is DolfanJake. I've never known anyone with so much unwavering optimism and blind faith. It's good to see and usually leaves me a little verklempt when I think about it.

 

i am simply praying to the turnover brother gods - fumble and interception. Granted, they are lesser Gods, but if they smile upon our quest, I think it is all we'll need. Save the bigger Gods for greater challenges

IF you look under the game it says p2p or webstream. Both confirmed. I have good luck but its never perfect. God, I hope I can make it to the end of the game today without being completely obliterated by the third quarter. WE HAVE TO WIN! There is no excuse. This game will define the rest of the season.

 

And what pray tell is the "ultimate goal"?

 

Well...the defense let me down last week. I thought it would be the offense I'd be yelling at during the game, but Henne played well. Since the Texans have no Brady and don't play the "keep them on the field/no huddle" crap --we should be fine!

 

Nope...Padre got relinquished of his duties due to low success rate. HAHA

 

All I'm hoping is that Medi is still around during the games this season. Nothing like hanging with friends while I suffer...LOL

 

Listen guys, the key to today's game is going to be the defense, period.

-Can the defensive line put pressure on Schaub?
-Can the defensive line plug the running holes?
-Can the secondary match up one on one in order to faciliate blitz packages on Schaub?
-Can the defense match up physically with Houston's offense?

Last week, the Dolphins proved to me their offense can match up with any in the league. Henne had a PHENOMINAL game. Questionable call by Daboll on 4th and 1 at the goal line, but all in all, Daboll's "left lane" offense opened up and Henne performed admirabley.

Mike Nolan's defense on the other hand...

Whenever I see the Dolphins defense being manhandled as they were last week, I am reminded of Will Patton's speech to his defense in "Remember the Titans" and wishing someone would motivate our Dolphins as he did in the film.

In the "predictions" thread about a month or so ago, I had the Dolphins at 0-2 following this game, but it wasn't due to our defense losing the game, it was uncertainty in the ability of our offense to produce. After last week's game, I'm confident in our offense. The only question is will the Texans remember...forever....the night they played the Dolphins?

 

Reading these prayers reminded me immediately of the scene from "We Were Soldiers" when Lt. Col. Hal Moore and one of his officers, Lt. Jack Geoghegan, are visiting the base chapel the night before they are deployed in Viet Nam. It goes something like this:
