im impressed with your list. But I couldn't tell give you a list of that kind of size myself. Final fantasy 7 (Psx) Super Mario Bros. (NES) KOTOR (Xbox) Zelda OoT (N64) Mass Effect (Xbox360) Final Fantasy X (Ps2) World Ends with you (DS) Crisis Core (PSP) Super Mario Galaxy (Wii) my favorites for each system. EDIT: Holy crap, i just realized that's only 3 developers. Crazy.
I haven't, mostly I play with someone else in person. Shame that 2k's going to stop making college hoops. But I figure someone's going to have the new lineups with names sometime soon. Can't wait to see how Jrue Holliday does. If Love stayed, we'd have a killer team.
zelda was priceless. if i could remember the code inside the maze i'd be set, even though I don't remember what it gives you. maximum carnage.
I've only owned Zelda for the original Game Boy. Haven't been a fan of Nintendo since then. Bought a Wii but sold it before I ever bought any games for it.
Back to the Future on NES was a terrible game. I can't recall a game that's ever frustrated me so much.
I LOVED Syphon Filter! I can't really do a list. All I played for years were sports games. My game buying would consist of the new hockey and the new Madden every year and that would be about it. I do remember the first Resident Evil. Turning off the lights, firing up the surround sound. It was the first time for me that I really got engrossed into a game. I notice that you don't have Call of Duty 4 on your list Regan. I might be a little sheltered here but it's the best game I've ever played. Weird considering I've never been a FPS guy. The Call of Duty series, in my opinion, is just so good. The online replay value of COD4 is ridiculous for me. The last time I looked I've played online for over 10 days...LOL!
Got to agree with unified about Call of Duty 4 - I didn't really play FPS but bought into the hype and I love it - still haven't played it online as I'd be the noob that everyone kills!! Two games I've loved are Star Wars tie-ins - Battlefront on the original xbox and Rouge Squadran on the gamecube. Usual games are the Madden, Tiger Woods and Fifa franchises each year though.
I think Syphon Filter was a very underrated game mainly because it came out in the wake of MGS. Then Sony took over from 989 Studios and turned it to crap for the PS2 until it was redeemed for the PSP. lol, I don't think you're that sheltered. After all, it's a strong candidate for game of the year. I loved it so much I bought COD4 for the PC too. It definitely is a spectacular game even for seasoned FPS'ers and a reason why I love Infinity Ward so much. It really redefined the whole series and it's just insanely good.
I loved Rogue Squadron and its sequels on the gamecube (that and MGS: Twin Snakes were the only games I was interested in) but it really didn't justify me owning one especially since I could always borrow it. Battlefront III's been hovering a while in the rumor mill, really wish they'd settle with the developer and get it out pronto.
I'm always checking the starwars/lucasart sites for news on Battlefront III - the pick a character shoot everything in site would be perfect for online!
Shenmue is by far the game that turned me into a hardcore gamer, so it has to be at the top of my list. Then I would throw in the whole MGS and GTA series (III and after).
