Speaking of former Bills, Poyer went back to Buffalo:
May he suck as bad for them as he did for us, and hopefully costs them a game or two.
Now we know why Samuel Jr. hasn’t signed yet:
Murphy is the biggest surprise imo, thought he would make the team. I certainly would have kept him over Cam Smith, who is a waste of a roster spot.
PS. The Packers cut Isaiah Simmons - I’d bring him in for a look.

You think Waller is getting cut?

Don't mind the player, especially in what will likely be a part time role ... but why can't we sign a CB?
I had the exact same thought when I read about the signing.
Here’s hoping we got some gems later in this year’s draft (Phillips, Gordon, Ewers) as well as the two man mountains at the top of the draft balling out.

we’ll see how it plays out but I have a feeling we’re gonna shut a lot of people mouths up.
Man, I sure hope so. We’ve been holding onto “receipts “ for a long time now.
I think the only way this would be at all realistic is if LV were to take on the entirety of Hill’s contract, thereby creating some financial breathing room. You’re not going to get a lot back for a guy everyone assumes won’t be on the team after this season, and the argument could be made that it would make the offense better, because Tua (and McD) won’t be able to force the ball to Hill, and will have to look at other options.
I don’t think there’s much substance here, but it’s something to talk about besides the daily overreactions to practice reports.
It seems like we could (and should) get more back, but it depends on the money. If the Raiders are willing to take on all of Hill’s salary, then this becomes much more intriguing.
The need for a cb might be even more glaring after the first practice:
Noah Fant was released by the Seahawks; might be too expensive to squeeze him in along with a veteran cb, though.

I’d offer Phillips or Chubb and a mid round pick and see if they bite.
PS. Ross > Mike Brown
Based on his father’s take:
Then again, he also called Cris Carter “overrated”, so what the hell does he know?
While I think that Clemson D line was better as a unit than as individual players, I thought Wilkins did a nice job for us while he was here. With that said, the deal that the Raiders gave him was far too much money.
Hopefully he can return to playing at the same level, even if he’s forced to miss the upcoming season.
I wonder what Fitzpatrick is thinking/feeling right now. We have a new HC and DC, so it’s not the same leadership that was here when he was, so there’s that.
PS. Would love to see Pitts in Miami; I think he was criminally underused in Atlanta. The Falcons are (reportedly) fed up with waiting for him to measure up to his draft status.
PPS. Props to Grier on this one.

That's because, weirdly, most billionaires try everything they can to cut down costs despite the fact that they could probably walk through Sawgrass Mills and clear out every story, booth, and stall and still have more money than most of the people in the world.
They could very easily raise additional funds by passing on costs to fans and/or giving another game or 2 to Amazon and getting Jeff Bezos to foot the bill for the grass, thereby protecting their precious margins. Personally, I vote for getting more $$ from Jeff, lol.

This is probably his last year here. No reason to be crying about this in June. Like I said dude. This is more than likely both his and McDaniels last stand.
Exactly, and he is unquestionably QB1 this season, so all we can do is hope for success. Tua and McD have to know that it’s now or never.
The whole league should send boxes of turds to Houston as a way of thanking them for this mess. Cleveland is run by by morons, do it’s hardly surprising that they would jump on the fully guaranteed bandwagon.
For a league that counts their revenues in multi-billions, to cry about the cost of maintaining grass fields is beyond ludicrous.
The one group that you need to be “nasty boys” is the OL. Guys who take pride in pancakes and road grading, and that’s something we haven’t had in a long time, either. Here’s hoping our new additions will bring that mentality to the most important group on the team.
