My prediction is that Gase and Tannehill are still together.
Burke is not DC (maybe fired or maybe re-assigned).
Grier is fired.
2020 we either find massive success or there's massive change.

I predict all will be back except Burke. I also think we draft at least 2 lineman, and rest secondary. I think our crappy front office doesn’t get touched and we remain crappy. I predict Parker goes to New England and has a rebirth.

I think Gase and RT17 are back.
I think Burke is back.
We draft a DT/DE in the first round.
We draft Will Grier from WVU in the second round.
We have average health and go 10-6. -
"Insert name here is going to go to New England and be amazing!" -

Draft Chad Henne or Trade for AJ Feeley.. Draft Pat White .. We dem boys...

No changes, even Burke is kept on as DC. Gase gets 2019 to prove the Gase/Tanny experience can succeed.
Too many injuries to overcome (not play-calling or coaching of players) is given as the reason to give them all ONE MORE SEASON.mbsinmisc likes this. -
Go back to the Bears and hire their current Defensive Coordinator as HC, Vic Fangio. That would be redemption.

Tough to say right now, but if Miami looks like they did today against Jacksonville and Buffalo to close out the season, I do think Gase and Co. will be out. I question Ross and his ability to surround himself with football people as much as anyone else here, but he is a business man and his business isn't performing to its potential. As such, I would assume his patience is wearing thin and he will be less likely than before to retain members of his team. I suspect he'll consider selling the team, but not before he reaches out to his Michigan buddy Jim Harbaugh about coaching the Miami Dolphins in 2019 and beyond.
If that deal happens, a lot will change in Miami.Last edited: Dec 16, 2018FinsPensFan and Berezo like this. -

Hard to see anything other than what we've seen for years now. Wash rinse and repeat.

Gase and Tannehill are safe.
Burke has to be gone or demoted.
Miami will be in the thick of the division/playoff race. -

Gase, Tannenbaum and Tannehill all stay.
Burke is 50/50.
The Miami Dolphins stay healthy for the first time in Gase's era and we win the division 11-5mbsinmisc likes this. -
There is no way Harbaugh leaves Michigan. No, honestly all we can hope for is say...Dave Taub, Todd Haley, and defensive coordinator....Jim Schwartz. Yet again I am also drunk babbling. -
The other Harbaugh is coaching his way into keeping his Ravens job.
For those saying we just need to be healthy ... what exactly makes us think we should bet the farm on Tannehill being healthy in 2019 after he missed big chunks of the last 3 seasons. It's just another reason to move in a new direction. -

Combine the fact that he has had significant injuries in 3 years running now, that he has taken a large number of big hits and that he is a big hit prone QB, marry that to him just not being all that good unless literally everything is perfect, and you arrive at the conclusion of many - he's not what we need under center.
We are, imo, far closer to being a less talented 2018 Jags team then ready to make a leap like the Bears. I am sure you will disagree, and more power to you for the optimism. I don't share it.likes this. -

I think Tannenbaum, Gase, Grier, and Tannehill are back.
Burke could go either way. The fact that he hasn't been fired yet makes me think that it is entirely possible he survives.
We are in a weird position in the draft and have so many needs, I don't think we are going to move up for a QB. I think we go down the Chad Henne path and take a QB in the second round. My educated guess is Will Grier.
Ross's achilles heel is his loyalty. I think the similarities between Gase and Philbin will be astounding. I would not at all be surprised with an in season firing next season. -
I do think if we dont have a good shot at Herbert or Haskins, we should go defense early, and the DL has some good candidates. So does LB for that matter. Greedy Williams would do in a pinch as well.
What DLs are catching your eye? -
Barring another injury, Tannehill won't be cut or traded because of the cap hit. Gase probably gets away with this season because of the injuries. We have a new DC and several new defensive players. But I wouldn't be surprised to see us draft a QB in the first three rounds.
