I bought my 360 at Target, since they have a 90 return policy, that equates to a 90 day price guarantee as well. If you buy anything above the arcarde version, it will come with a headset and a hard drive. You should purchase the 12 month xbox live subscription card at the store while you are getting the xbox, since the card gives you an extra month for free, so its a 13 month card. Thats how I did it.

 

You can go wireless with Xbox. U need an adaptor which i got for 100 bucks. You can find it at most places u would buy system.

I went thru Best Buy and u can buy a 2 yr warranty and they will take the xbox back no problem. U are lucking out cause they just put the new xbox out that fixed the red ring of death.

 

There's a rumor in gameinformer magazine this month that MS might match a potential PS3 price drop and drop their 60GB system to 250. That seems like a pretty good deal to me.

 

Sure for only an extra $100. Not trying to stir up a console debate :shifty: but be prepared to get nickel and dimed for EVERYTHING with the Xbox. Especially if you plan on playing online.

 

Not entirely true. The xbox wireless adapter works on the 360 (that's what I use), and those can be had for like $30 on ebay. Only downfall with those is the separate power supply.

 

i have the 360 wireless adapter because my wife complained about the wire running to the router. Even though i hid it under the carpet, you could see all of about 2 inches of it, and apparently that was to much to be seen. LOL. I didnt want to spend the 100 for it, so I took a different perspective, it cost me 100 to shut her up. That makes the money worth it.

 

For $99. Best Buy sometimes has it at 79. Another way is using a laptop or nearby computer as a bridge. That's what I used until I got an adapter cheap at Circuit City.

I don't think Dell offers any extra warranty. You'd have to go through M$.

 

If you happen to have a laptop with wireless capabilty, you can use it instead of the expensive wireless adapter. You just go into your wireless adapter network advanced properties and check the share the internet connection. Hardwire the 360 into the laptops ethernet port and you are connected.

gamestop even sells this model....it's a little microsoft fits right around your ear and it has an up and down volume button and everything....i've had it for the better part of 2 years and have no complaints

 

Best Buy's a good place to get it. I got mine there with the 2 year warranty for my Elite.

Those can be about $60. To me, it's not worth it when MS includes a wired headset anyways for most 360 models. It was either the 20GB version with wireless headset or the Elite for me. The official PS3 headset had more value to me since you can also use it with cell phones and has more battery life than most Bluetooth headsets in that price range.

I got a wireless mike for Christmas and it has its pluses and minuses. I love the lack of wires and the mobility it gives you to be talking to buddies between games even while walking out of the room to grab a drink or something but the one thing they did wrong was that they didn't put a mute button on it.

If someone walks into the room that you need to talk to then you have no way of cutting off your mike so you can talk without everything going through the headset. You have to just take the whole headset off which is a step down from the easy mute feature of the wired mikes..... I still use my wireless most of the time though.

One thing to keep in mind if you go wireless is that the earpiece takes a while to break in. For the first while if you wear it too long it will make your ear start to hurt but after a little while it gets more flexible and is fine.
