All things considered, would you be satisfied if we finish the 1st half of the season 4-4?
I don't know if 10-6 gets us into the playoffs but I think that we have a good chance of going 6-2 in the 2nd half of the season.

I'd have to say yes. I take that deal, if its wins over the Pats and Jets. 4-0 in AFC East and a Jets sweep, but we lose to an NFC team. I take that deal. then again, next sunday, i'll be cheering my butt off, and praying for the win.

I would be ecstatic with 4-4. Winning 2 of the next 3 would be huge.
We still would get to play Buffalo again, Tampa Bay, and Tennessee.
Jags and Panthers aren't so great either. -
With games against the Bucs, panthers, bills, jags, titans, and Steelers (in what will probably be a backups game for them in week 17), yes.
If we can steal a game or two from some of our better oppenents, then we're in for a decent season. (of course, thats assuming we dont lose any gimmies either) -
4-4 would be fantastic
-
4-4 would be great because that would mean we won 2 of our 3 games. Our schedule is looking pretty easy and 4-4 would be a great place to start from.
-
HELL YES! And I say 10 wins gets into the playoffs.
-
well we play:
TB
Panthers
Bills
Pats
Jags
Titans
Texans
Steelers
in the 2nd half
I think TB, Bills, Jags, Panthers and Titans are wins
I think we lose to the Texans
I think we split Pats/Steelers -

Steelers might be battling us for a wild card. But hopefully we make a big run and repeat as division champs.

Im happy aslong as we stay in the division hunt

The Jets took a little pressure off of us with that loss to Buffalo. A loss to the Saints is no problem as long as we follow with a win at NY. We'd sit at 4-4 with a chance the following week to cut NE's lead as we head into the second half of the season.
At 4-4 we're still in it
At 5-3 we're putting the league on notice -
Bold prediction time . . .
We lose one more regular season game, and it will be to the Patriots in Foxboro. This season is just setting up like the last where the team had to learn how to win and once they did/do they are virtually unstoppable. So there you have it, we go 12-4.
Yes, I know it sounds crazy, even to me, but I believe that we are 11-5 or 12-4 in the end. I believe that with all my heart.dolfan7171 and gafinfan like this. -
We can go 10-6 and a possible playoff spot. All depends on how we play against the Patriots.
-
better than being 2-6 I guess.
really that's all i can think. -
Chad Henne was great on Monday night. However, I think it's a mistake to think he'll be doing that all season. He hasn't even gone on the road yet, which we will do against two divisional opp. after the saints game. The saints are no joke. They thrashed a defense 10x better than Miami's. Hopefully a home game, during the day, with all that heat and humidity will give us an advantage. We'll need everyone we can get. I think it's a mistake to look at the schedule and cherry pick wins. There's a number of unforeseen variables. -

Yes I'd be happy. The remainder of our schedule leads me to believe that the best realistic result would be 9-7. With that said, I'd be happy with anything above .500 with as tough as our schedule is this season.
-
you better be happy, because - as much as i'd like to win these next 3 ... we'll likely lose 1 ... which makes us 4-4 ...
starting 0-3 ... you should be estatic to be 4-4 at the mid way point !
agreed, that 6-2 is entirely possible given our opponents the 2d half of the season ...
10-6 could very well win our division, especially if we can take care of business against the PATS ... -
I not worried though as I've said all along we will go 12-4 this year and I really believe its possible.:wink2: -
After starting 0-3, that would be great to still control our own destiny in Week 17! -
for a shot at anything, the games against the JESTS and PATS are musts .... the NO game is not ... again that puts us 4-4, and 1 game behind the PATS who have a harder 2nd half than we do ...
you can forget about the JESTS from this point forward ... so it's just between the PATS and PHINS for the DIV ... 11-5 is preferred, but 10-6 can get it done ...
you just never know, but i certainly don't see the PATS going 12-4 ... forgetting this week, they haven't looked that great this year ... even though they beat ATL and BAL. the worst we will do is split with them, and have a better DIV record ...
by DEC 6 ... we will know what our future holds ... as the PATS have MIA, IND, JESTS, NO, MIA coming up ... -

I think after this next three game stretch we'll have a much better idea of how this season is going to play out. If we lose two out of three I think we'll know we're not quite there yet. If we can take two then I really think the sky is the limit.
