Crazy and sad. The part about the parents telling her about tying something around her neck is confusing. What was the context in which they told her that? Either way, that's horrible.

Smells like BS. The parents' story seems too fishy...

Not really something that comes up in the daily flow of conversation. Then again, my daughter only knows 4 words. -
WAY too fishy.
My prediction = Mommy's in jail by the end of the weekend.Section126, Frumundah Finnatic and Fin-Omenal like this. -

it does sound off, but you just CAN'T accuse the parents of murder in something this terrible unless you realllly think you have proof of it. Either way it is a shame. You can make the argument that you don't necessarily 'feel bad' for people who commit suicide as adults (which is debatable, but don't want to get into that here), but you certainly can't argue that this girl knew and fully understood all the consequences of her actions. Don't see how you can't pity her.

it happened in the beginning of december, the parents would be in jail already
-
How does a girl that young have any idea how to do that?

I feel bad that the kid killed herself, but I feel even worse for her poor parents. How horrible must THEY feel?
The mom sends the kid to her room, she tells her, "I'm going to kill myself", she thinks to herself, "yeah right, you're just talking ****".
Then they go up to the room and find that she hung herself.
Completely devastating. They must be thinking about the myriad of things they might have done differently had they known... That's something that a parent could never forget, or never quite forgive themselves for; even though they know they didn't do anything wrong.azfinfanmang, opfinistic, Stitches and 2 others like this. -

If this god forbid, was my daughter, they would HAVE to put me in a rubber room and watch me do the thorizine shuffle for eternity.PSG likes this. -

I have a six year old little girl who has a hard time tying her shoes, I dont want to speculate becasue its ridiculously sad for one and for two I cant imagine dumb enough parents to murder thier daughter then make it look like a suicide...
All too weird. Horrible news regardless.alen1 likes this. -
My assumption is that she was trying to spite her parents. But, just got in over her head. Maybe didn't even fully understand the repercussions of her actions.
Remember when you were a kid and you threatened to run away. You went and hid for a couple minutes thinking they wouldn't find you. Whole time you thought how sad they would be and they would never punish you again. You got bored and came out before they ever looked though.
She didn't have the opportunity to "come out."
A really sad story. -
They may threaten to hold their breath forever or something like that

Some of you talk about a 6 year old like you would a dog. They aren't stupid. A 6 year old is more capable of learning than a grown adult.

The problem comes into play when you secure the other end to something. JMO but this story sounds fishy. -

Colorado Dolfan ...dirty drownin' man?
That right there is how kids learn that you can die from things being wrapped around your neck... I agree, though, that kids that young really don't understand the full concept of dying or death. It really just doesn't register to them.
Sad story either way... :(azfinfanmang likes this. -
