I know many are going to read the title of this thread and think, "I've been patient for decades and all this team has done is kick me in the balls....blah, blah, balh!!!!!"
I'm asking for patience in regards to the flurry of news, tweets and rumors about our various GM & OC searches. As you all know, I've been banging the drum for not excepting wholesale info you get from the media. Besides the fact that many of the local guys are agenda driven (and that agenda is rarely the truth) you also have to understand how information can be misconstrued depending on the prism you're viewing it through.
For example, most of us have heard of and seen the movie Mrs. Doubtfire. It was lighthearted family comedy. There was nothing sinister or scary about that movie the way it was shown.
Now watch this:

Information, even video, can be cut and edited to portray virtually anything. Whether it be a harmless comedy or even Hardknocks footage. Information can be edited and portrayed into virtually anything as well. Isn't it possible we never offered jobs to Lazor or McAdoo and therefore they didn't choose another team over us? Of course its possible, in fact, its likely as there was no reports they were offered anything by us. Of course listening to some of the commentary its spun that we were begging them to work for us and they laughed us off and went somewhere else.
This franchise may well be headed to another oblivion, it may not, but lets make that call based on results we can verify not conjecture....it will make us happier in the long run.

Don't care about the OC. Only care about the GM. So far no gripes w me on that end but we will see what the final outcome is. At least we pursued gamble and we have a couple more candidates that would be upgrades. We're fishing in the right spot now its time to reel one in

1) apparently a job was offered to Lazor> Dolphins hire Eagles quarterback coach Bill Lazor as their new OC
2) I read McAdoo was scheduled to interview last because he was the probable choice of Philbin to fill the position
having said that, I agree with you in principle. what is missing is patience & consistency within the franchise. -
Mrs. Doubtfire as a horror film would be epicly creepy. They totally missed the boat on that concept...

Given he has never called a play in an NFL game I may be deluding myself here, but I feel pretty optimistic about the Lazor hire. I think he can really help Tannehill take the next step and bring some creativity to the offense.
Hire a good GM candidate like Xanders and the future looks bright. -

I don't have a patience problem, I have a problem with bad decisions. And a chain of bad decisions will make me impatient for heads to roll. This is one of them by Philbin and it's not the first one.

The only thing I can verify is that this HC has done nothing to make me feel good about the direction of the team.
I can verify that he went 8-8 with a roster capable of being better.
I can verify that the offensive side on the football has gotten worse each year under his term.
I can verify that he does a poor job of managing a football game, down and distance, situation.
I can verify the owner has told him that he controls the coaching aspect of the team.
I'm just not a fan of Joe Philbin. That's why I'm not positive about the direction of the team.
I like Bill Lazor. My fear? Is he actually does a decent job, but an 8-8 team will lend itself, to a new staff change and he'll be gone.
I like a lot of different players on the teams, and even a few other coaches - Rizzi & Rodgers specifically.
For me, show me, then I'll be back. It's never been a stance I've had, but I've had it. I've lost all faith in the people who are making decisions.
Sorry that it's so pessimistic, but it is what it is.Fineas likes this. -

I'm talking about the decision to allow Caleb Sturgis to kick FG's in crap weather (Buffalo, Pittsburgh).
I thought he should have challenged a play before the half against Cincy that allowed them to go down and score. Instead we went into the half, with all our timeouts. It was a play that could have been overturned.
You're right about the 4th down calls. I thought they were all good calls and the right decision. The play calls were less desirable and the execution was worse.
But does losing to an inferior talented team, with a QB that had been there for a week, coming off your bye, at home, and is a division opponent do anything (Bills Week 7)? To me it does. The fact we lost two games at the end of our season that we should have one to get in, makes it worse.
Then he defended his OC and wanted to keep him when it was clear the offense regressed and was worse than before.
I don't think Joe Phibin is a good coach. That's just me. -

Ugh...you're really on my ****list today. I worked at a second rate movie theatre in high school. It wasn't a megaplex like they have today. It was weird and small. They had this movie showing for 2 ****ing months!!! I've seen this movie more times than Don Shula has won football games. And Joy Luck Club is a close second. F U for the **** memories!!!
