Hmm, would not mind him in Miami, but not for 11th overall pick money.

This may surprise folks, but I think Gholston is also salvagable, Maybin is more athletic than the Ghost, but Ghost is miscast..he's not a Sam OLB, he is a Will OLB, speed/strength/agility may mean crappy passrusher, it also can mean 'sets the edge really really well"
-
Put it this way, dumb it down to Ghost v RT or a TE trying to block him, he does not have to head upfield, that is not really his job. -
I honestly think either Maybin or Gholston could be decent for us. At the least, they would have to be an upgrade over Quentin Moses. If we can sign one of them to a 1 year deal and try them out as situational pass rushers, I would be all for it.

Maybin's problem is he is the Tin Man, I;ve heard plenty of things about Ghost, not one mentioned "no heart".
Those are the cats you look to recycle, great measurables, and heart, see what you can do with them. -
The guy is lost on the field. You can't put him at a position when he doesn't have a clue what to do or how to play it. They've been trying to teach him how to use his hands since he was drafted and he still hasn't figured it out. There's a reason he hasn't done squat on a team that lacks a quality pass rusher.

Very difficult to do, good Coaches and GM's do it, poor Coaches and GM's do not, they sit on their *** and wait for the draft when they are a bad team so they can have 5 yrs of being a good team, such a system must be eschewed in the AFCE..you will get crushed.
That is what is meant by "He can take your'n and beat his'n, or he can take his'n and beat your'n" -
Or Banta Cain?
That is the difference Alen, a good coach and a good GM can see what they can become, not what they are, that is the difference between average and outstanding in the NFL, Ghost has off of the chart measurables, you start from there.
And that is why I chuckle a bit at the NFL Draft process, there is enough cannot miss detrus floating around to stock a roster with #1-#4 picks who all missed..and yet it is looked as the font of life.
Basped, iirc, had a knee so bad the Jest told him to have microfracture surgery?
BTW, what they do in Miami when they flip over rocks is to look for:
-Vertical leap
-three cone drill
-size -
Nolan saw something in T B Cain, signed him to a FA contract, he bombed, went back to NE and led the AFCE in sacks in 2009, do you think that no one saw that talent, but only one coach could pull it out of him?
Ghost blows TBC away in every physical category..and yet..one had 9 sacks, the other 0, do you suppose that is an accident?
As an example, why do you think Ikaika Alama Francis was brought in? Because he was a great defensive lineman, or because they saw enough raw physical talent to make him worth their time.... -
That is what is known as a "sign".
Nope, couldn't be that.. -
That is one of the huge differences between the 2010 Dolphins and 2010 Jets.
I'm a proud NFL talent junkman alen, seen enough of the NFL Draft to know what a Barnum Show it is, to me the real skill is to sift through the aftermath and find the gems.
Ever notice the same things are said about different players in the draft every yr, yr after yr?
