According to ESPN: Miami trying to trade up to 2...

Rams are dealing and that Miami is in serious discussion to trade up and select RG3.
This is Ross and Ireland, so it probably won't happen. Wishful thinking at best.
Reported where? There's speculation that because Fisher likes Ireland, then they might be able to work out a trade deal. But where was this actually reported as fact? Mort and Schefter have nothing on their Twitter accounts.

ESPN Radio. Heard it 4 times today. On the road right now, so I haven't seen espn.com.
Even if it were to happen, wouldn't it happen a lot closer to the draft? I mean, the Rams don't even have a GM in place yet. Neither team has re-signed their own players or signed other free agents. Just seems like speculation at best.

ESPN Radio is not a reliable source.

I believe Mort was the one reporting it.
Damn...don't kill the messenger. I am just telling what they are saying in the news breaks.
Minnesota more likely...Regardless, Ireland should be trying to get RGIII till he's gone.

Are we sure they aren't trading up to get Kalil? :shifty:
The better question is, "Is RG3 worth trading the farm for"
I don't think he is.. His size scares me.... You saw what happened to Vick this season.

Good question. I think we could get an OL later, but it depends on what we are giving up by trading up.
That said....we trade up and RG3 is there, select him over Kalil.
I heard this too, apparently from Mort. I'll believe it when I see RG3 or Peyton holding up a Dolphins jersey.
It would certainly win people over, myself included. If Ireland traded up and then selected Kalil over RG3 I'm pretty sure people would get even more pissed off...but even my pessimistic self doubts they would pass up on a QB...

I saw it on Ireland's blog.

There's basically no chance this is happening now.
Nor should it, we are in a bad tactical position, we need to add playmaking talent, to push the issue to land a Qb with few playmakers means we have depleted our resources needed to add those playmakers.
I'd love to have RG3, if they can make the trade then great, if not, add more pieces at Wr and OL.
This wouldn't win me over at all. It feels like a high risk desperation move.

Maybe Fisher will send Bradford our way?.....Bradford has a huge contract, and Fisher might be in love with RG3?

Who do you have an eye on Rafi?
And I agree, trading the #40 overall to move up hurts us a bit to much, might even cost more to move up.
We don't have a QB...Flynn, Peyton or RGIII. Go get one or continue to build.

Fisher went to the RAM in part due to having a #2 to compliment his regime building process. They will not give Miami the #2 pick lol Ross and Ireland can't get it done.. So much for winning last year huh! Suck for Luck should have been mandated again we screw it up! LOL Im seriously starting to root against these clowns..
He is over rated nand not worth the losing so much to get him. A proven QB like Fylnn off waviers is much safer and we could use our pick to beef up the line some more. Ireland you're an IDIOT if you trade up for him, he's not worth losing all that goes into trading up the draftboard. Be smart for once and get a proven guy like Reiff that can start right away and ake a bigger hole for Bush and Thoams!!! Oh wait did I mention smart and ireland in the same sentence....

I suspect that is what our situation calls for, a vet Fa or add pieces to the offense AND defense
One of the problems is dolfans are wee-wee'd up over a Qb, reality is we lost 5 gms by 13 pts, and had 4 4th qtr fades by the defense, standing pat is not a real option for the Defense imo

I prefer trading up for Luck or back for Tannehill or Weedon. I also like Russell Wilson in the third. I'd also prefer just signing Flynn. Trading up for RGIII might be next on the list depending on the cost. I don't really care about trading the #40 since without a franchise QB our chances of winning anything are pretty slim regardless of what #40 would net us. I would be willing to give up quite a bit for a QB I thought had a pretty good chance of becoming a franchise QB, I just don't love the risk/reward balance for RGIII. Too much of what he will have to do we haven't seen.

I am telling you that Mort is not reporting it. It turns out that he speculated—speculated—on a TV appearance this morning that Fisher would be amenable to working out a trade with Ireland based on the former's like of the latter. This is not the same as reporting that a trade is in the works. Again, ESPN Radio is not a reliable source.
Damn...don't kill the messenger. I am just telling what they are saying in the news breaks.
I'm not killing the messenger. How many times do I have to say "ESPN Radio"? I never said you were relaying incorrect information. I never attacked you once. I said ESPN Radio is wrong. Relax.

Luck is going to Indy, end of story for me at least, Irsay can talk all that family stuff with Manning the reality is the Colts even cut Unitas loose.
Not wild about Flynn, he had one great game, in a system loaded with playmakers, I'd prefer a Vet Qb who made the guys around him better if we go that route, and his cost will be terribly high, so I can see him going to where all overpriced FA's go, Washington, I'd roll my FA dice on Orton or Garrard.
To me, if you add either Orton or Garrard, to compete with Moore, you have done your level best to acquire a Top 15 Qb, which also frees draft choices to add playmakers or no Qb is going to succeed in the NFL for very long.
As for the Franchise Qb, agree on rolling the dice on Weedon, or even Osweiler, do know over 30 rushing attempts and 20 or less passing attempts and the win % is up around 90%, if we are out of position for a Qb would be a good idea to take that route imo.
I don't understand. If Fisher likes Ireland, than why did he want all the control? Sure doesn't seem like he likes him at all.
