The final one for today (from me anyway), the Wide Receiver position in the AFC east has some of the most talented players in football (or were at one tme) with two potential Hall of Fame players.
The Bills...Lee Evans, Terrel Owens, Josh Reed
The Jets..D Clowney, Chansi Stuckey, Brad Smith
The Dolphins T Ginn, Devone Bess and Greg Camarillo
The Patriots Randy Moss, Wes Welker, Greg Lewis
Well, I do know this, our Wr are not #1 in the division.

It's the Jets.
Just kidding. :pointlol:
It's gotta be Moss & Welker. They are the two best receivers in the division and they complement each other perfectly. Moss being one of the best of all time, a huge, fast, nightmare matchup with great hands. Then you have good-for-100-receptions Wes Welker, speedy and quick.
Once again, it's tough to even debate this one.

It's hard to vote against the Pats because their WR's are perfect for their offense, but I had to go with the Bills because both Owens and Evans are capable of taking over a game at any point. Whether they get that chance in Buffalo, I don't know, but they are the best combo IMO.

BTW, you left off Jerricho Cotchery, the Jets' best wideout. ;)

For me, I think the idea of Two Top Wr is a dying idea in the NFL, anymore there are so many 3 Wr sets that the #3 Wr is just as important.
Josh Reed is a very very good Wr, Greg Lewis occasionally was good, but he's hurt alot, and Greg C for us, or a Rook is what knocks us down the list.
The Jets are in a bad way at Wr.
I'd probably take the Pats Wr corps simply because of Brady, the Bills are close, but Edwards is just not a good Qb yet.
He was benched last season for the UFL's JP Losman.. -

Looking at the numbers of how Moss and Welker have been successful TOGETHER makes me pick them. Theres no doubt that TO and Lee Evans have the capability to surpass them but seeing as they have never played together it is yet to be determined.
Now if you ask me which team has the most consistent depth at WR, i honestly think its the Phins. We have quite a bit of talent down the line. We do not however, have the success among our WR that the Bills or Pats WRs have had. -
Wow, that should really kick the thread into high gear... -
I am taking the Bills, though the Pats were close.
Cotchery is better IMO than any of our WRs (based on what I know), but it really remains to be seen how everyone will do next year. As a unit, I would take ours over the jets personally. -

Last year it was New England, but this year, at this time, it's got to be Buffalo.

Colorado Dolfan ...dirty drownin' man?
:tongue2:
I, too, went with the Bills... Owens and Evans > Moss and Welker
...even though Owens, Evans, and Edwards < Moss, Welker, and Brady... -
I gotta go with the Pats... Moss is head and shoulders above TO, IMO... I think Evans may have the home run threat over Welker, but Welker is a quarterback's best friend... I hate the dude, but he's a damn good receiver. -
if we go by "just wrs" its def buffalo.
But it's Buffalo, so it doesn't matter. Moss is the most dangerous receiver in the division. -
This is hard because QB and system have a lot to do with it.
I went with the Bills because I believe out of the 3 WRs you listed--T.O., Evans, Parrish & Reed have more talent than the other groups listed.

Patriots

Voted for the Bills... if they had Brady instead of Edwards or Loserman all these years, that offense would have been unstoppable.
-
I wouldn't even put Greg Lewis as New England's #3, more likely Joey Galloway. Either way, its New England. T.O. isn't T.O. anymore (still Top 10/15, no longer Top 2) and Evans has long been over-rated.
BTW..
Clowney, Smith & Stuckey?
You mean Cotchery, Smith & Stuckey. -

I had to go with the Bills, to me, Josh Reed tips the scales in their favor even if Edwards is still raw as a Qb, two large receivers and one speed guy will be no fun at all to try and defend this year.
-
Pats
Bills
Dolphins
Jets
Can't see it any other way, and I just can't overlook T.O.'s ability to disrupt any locker room and drop balls he should catch in critical moments. T.O. also disappears to often, because he is too moody. -
I find it hard to vote against TO and Evans, both true #1 guys. Moss and Welker are arguably the best #1 and best #3 in the league.
You can certainly make the argument that the guy throwing them the ball is worse than Brady, but that's not what the poll is about. TO and Evans will consistently create the biggest mismatches, the biggest headaches for any DC, especially with their dangerous backfield that forces you to respect the run.
How Buffalo is not a perennial 10 win team defies me. What holds them back is that they have one of the worst coaches in the leagueStitches likes this. -
Well, it seems fairly settled that thePhins membership believes the Patriots have the best Wr combination in the AFC East.
Pats
Bills
Dolphins
Jets
I propose a points system based on the order that we vote on.
For example:
#1...5 pts
#2...4 pts
#3...3 pts
#4...2pts
Patriots lead with 5 pts.
It should be interesting to see what "us" fans think rather then being fed what to think via ESPN or NFLN. -
LMAO.... who voted for our WR corp.
They shouldn't even be on the list alongside the Bills and NE's WR's. -
-
we are a run first offense
if we can dominate the line of scrimmage, it will change the complexion of the games we play & our unproven & developing (however promising) WR Corp can step up & be a legitimate factor in winning games
I believe 2009 will ride on the backs of the Orca-5 & our newly assembled PassDefense, not our passing game.
