...Number 1 defense Miami!
now I don't believe that we will be number one at the end, but I do hope we will be in top 10.

I was so going to post about this, but I figured it won't last long.
That being said, we should have a pretty strong defense this year. If they play like they did on Sunday for the rest of the year, top 10 is definitely possible. -

If we're still number 1 after next week, I'll be impressed. Buffalo doesn't have a damn clue on offense. Still, it was encouraging for a couple reasons: 1) We got a ton of pressure and 2) We had maybe 3 missed tackles (?)
To tackle that well against the likes of Spiller and Lynch is impressive. Gotta continue that next week.Bpk likes this. -

I've been saying all offseason that the D was an easy fix with the addition of Nolan and Dansby. I saw scheme as the biggest issue. Last year we were top 5 at stopping third down conversions. Usually that correlates with being a very good defense. Our issues were big plays given up and the lack of turnovers generated. Just changing the scheme to use a true FS would eliminate about half of those big plays. Adding a faster coverage LB (Dansby) would eliminate another 25% - 30% of those big plays. I stated several times that those two changes alone were enough to make us a top 15 defense. If we added a play making FS then we were easily a top 10 defense. Clemons hasn't shown those ball hawk tendencies, but he's at least limiting the mental errors that killed us last year.
Now all this has to be tempered b/c it was Buffalo, but I haven't seen anything to alter my offseason belief that we will at least be a top 15 defense. -
19th on offense needs to get better but I'll take it for now

And if a bad team sucks you are supposed to dominate them. We did. I dont know what else we can ask for.
They arent good and we did all we could do. -
And although the Bills offense is pretty bad, I wouldn't put them as the absolute worst in the NFL. Think about the Rams, Bucs, Browns, Raiders, Chiefs, Redskins... there are a lot of crap offenses that were allowed to do more this week than the Bills.
