thank the lord!! i cannot stand cefalo. I hope agler does well, the dolphins could use a younger voice.

 

I heard CK mention it first, the dude is "very talented" ..and I agree...it will only be a matter of time he splits if we don't start working him up to middle mgt..

Dudes interviewing skills are off the chain, even when he's talking to a rock, he keeps it moving..

 

Now to replace Griese with a speak and spell with a depth chart.

Our radio team is a joke. Jimmy Syphillis is awful.

 

I like Agler so I am glad he is getting a shot!

Agler is ok and perhaps he'll fit in, but the rest of the group is mediocre at best...

 

Does Agler have any play by play experience? Any jock or jock sniffer can do color, but play by play takes skill and talent. Cefalo was marginal at best and was another guy without much experience I believe. You're not going to find many good guys if your talent pool is strictly former players and guys on the team payroll like Agler. Mandich was the exception, not the rule. Joe Rose, Jimmy Cefalo, and Bob Griese need to go. Nat Moore should be banned from being within 15 feet of a live microphone.

 

Didn't Jesse do some of the preseason games last year on radio? I remember Hard Knocks using his play-by-play call in the Atlanta game.

 

Ah yeah, reading comprehension and all. I haven't heard him, I can't imagine many listen to preseason radio broadcasts. I wonder if anyone here had a radio accident last year and can tell us?

 

Hard to be worse than Cefalo is IMO.

 

Agler is ready for that job. He was good on the radio last year, and TV requires less of the play-by-play guy. At least the good ones follow that mantra.

Considering he hosts the Dolphins' show five days a week, Agler will certainly be well-prepared. He knows this team and remains abreast of all the issues surrounding it. He'll be a good representative for the franchise and I hope he remains with us long enough to get the radio gig permanently.

Jimmy Cefalo's voice soothes the ears, makes me realize that football is indeed back and my favorite team the Miami Dolphins are playing.

Noting that an on the air personality isn't very good is not whining or unmasculine, nor does Jimmy Cefalo deserve deference because he played for the Dolphins. I don't understand how any of that makes sense.

Zach Thomas would be great IMO. Is he back in Texas and not wanting to make Miami his personal home again?

 

The job he does doesn't really deserve respect. He really didn't get it out of merits, he got it because he was a former Dolphin with some broadcasting experience, and he isn't good at all. He's not my doorstep, either.

 

Agler to replace Stockton in preseason, may end up replacing Cefalo in radio ...

It's funny because last preseason without reading what others here were saying (wasn't participating on the site actively at that time) I had to ask myself on several occasions if Bob was drunk off his ***.
