Mor, I have one question for you....

Is Zombie Nation in the game, and is it default for the Dolphins when kicking off after scoring at home? It better be. Ian alluded to "realistic" stadium music and Phil mentioned Zombie Nation as his favorite. Will be pissed if not.

Also, how is crowd noise? Difference on third down, breakaway TD's, and big decisive plays?

 

Can anyone give a quick review on the game? I wonder if it will be any better. I really don't feel like spending money on it if its the same crap as before. God, I hope Franchise Mode still isn't boring.

i just played one game right now. some quick impressions:

gameflow is kind of cool on offense. it makes you feel more like a qb. on defense it completely takes you out of the game. there is a pre-play menu that allows you to pick gameflow or playbook.

receivers don't just dart towards the sidelines. they head up field, or drag their feet. there was a cool fumble animation where everybody dived for the ball.

kicking mode is back to a,a,a as opposed to the sticks

everybody in the miami crowd looked black. camarillo doesn't have a picture.

they play the dolphin fight song after TDs.

the game might look worse than madden 2010. idk.


final impression: i played my obligatory game of madden this year. messed around with the minigames, but i think i'm done. hopefully i'll play it again.

 

it's the exact same game. i wouldn't waste your money.

Why do I keep holding out hope that EA will ever make a great Madden game? Looks like I'll be playing Madden 09 for another year.

The great thing is it will still sell like crazy.

 

i think it's very unfair to say it's the same game after one game of play. and alen i would recommend that you get someone (like me, but unfortunately i don't have the next gen) to play franchise mode and scout players and the like to get the full gist of franchise mode. wouldn't avoid getting the game based on one guys one game play and dislike of the game.

it's unfair to go on a rant about a one game review of a game that was leaked this morning!!! i'll probably give it another shot later on today. if something different than the madden i've played for the past 18 years pops out at me, i'll post it.

i recorded a video, but it's on photobucket, so you have to click the link. it's a franchise that has a fantasy draft, so the players are going to be different. it's almost the first half of a game. they only let me upload 10 mins.

i didn't notice anything special about the crowd, except that the minnesota crowd cheered when i scored a touchdown. i think the kickoff music is just the "in game" music.

also, i've posted one more video. it's only 2:27, but it's of the final drive and you can see the minnestoa fans leaving at the end.

there's a 56 yard run that is in the endgame highlights. during the actual run, gus johnson blurted out something like "give that man a new contract!"

Next year we're supposedly getting a BRAND NEW franchise mode which has been in the works since 2009.

 

Well, **** my life. It's identical to 2010. Perhaps what chaps my *** the most is the fact that they've probably been done with this thing for months for it to get leaked this early in the "season".

Question: What is the policy on cancelling a pre-order? Is it possible to get a full refund?

That sucks.... stupid EA never pays attention to anything. The Jets stadium has Zombie Nation in Madden 11 from a video I saw.

We only play it after every damn TD, EA.... :rolleyes:

 

my bad. zombie nation is in the game. i'm at home and it looks like it's playing after every kickoff.

 

If it's like NCAA you can speed up/slow down the game speed.

In online dynasty you should be able to change the game speed.

In online user games (like just random ranked matches) I would think that you could only change them in custom games.

NCAA is worth it just for online dynasty... it's badass...

 

Very sad to hear. Will be a cold day in hell when you can throw a pass over the middle without the ILB hopping 10 feet to pluck it out the air. It's been that way in every Madden I can remember.

 

Whats different about NCAA's dynasty this year from last year?
